Bitches_Brew
By that rationale, if two guys who downloaded my cars, installed them in their game, and then played a game online with my cars would be cheating? correct. again from rockstar..... anyone we've found using hacked saves, modded games, or other exploits has officially been cordoned off in a dedicated cheater pool, confined to wallow with other unscrupulous reprobates. i'm guessing your example would fall under one of those examples they listed. Oh well, thats for MP3. And as I said originally, there really isn't anything you can mod on that game that wouldn't be cheating, since it's just a shooter. Setting up a similar system for GTA V would be difficult, considering the amount of things that could be changed that would add no performance enhancements. 360/PS3 would be about the same as MP3, as no one really mods PS3/360 games to add new cars, so any mods would most likely be for cheating. Trying to control online matchmaking of modded games on PC would be a nightmare, since so many users download the new character skins/guns/cars for the GTA series. That's IF you PC guys get a port of V anyways like i said, i don't mind modders as long as the keep to themselves and don't crash the game, the problem is (from what i've seen) most people that use mods don't do that. maybe they should have a modding selection like "freemode" or "deathmatch" e.g."modmode" or "modmatch". that way you have a choice to join a modded game or not. then people that use mods outside of "modmode" get tossed into the "cheater pool" with the cheaters.
