They also had to make read dead redemption but I'm pretty sure they can squeeze in time for the start of V. So I'm not sure the actual release of RDR but I'm guessing 2010? I'm sure they started working on this before that so maybe there was a supposed release for sometime in 2011, then that didnt work and then a release for October 2012. So I think they went through 2 delays. I don't think the game will be delayed anymore, but there is a possibility for anything to happen. If I remember correctly, he equated it to writing a book and finding out it has 1,000,000 spelling errors. I still think we're getting a April or May release. The contract was that Microsoft gets two exclusive DLCs for the XBox 360 and that are GTA The Lost And Damned and GTA The Ballad Of Gay Tony. I'm sure that GTA IV wouldn't have been announced so early if Rockstar wouldn't have had the contract with Microsoft. It was pretty much a given that GTA IV is going to suffer a big delay since it was the first game from Rockstar Games in HD with the RAGE and Euphoria Engine on the then new Playstation 3 and XBox 360. There were rumours that the Playstation 3 was finally the reason for the big delay because it was a bitch to develope so there were lots of technical issues. I'm expecting a delay from March 2013 to May 2013 to add hype. GTA V already has been internally delayed. Take-Two Interactive has decreased their expectations from 1.7-1.8 billion dollar (45% from 2K Games and 55% from Rockstar Games) respective $1.75-$2 earnings per share to 1.1-1.2 billion dollar respective $0.0-$0.20 earnings per share on October 30th 2012. The best Non-GTA year was the fiscal year when Red Dead Redemption was released and they made 1.16 billion dollar respective $1.06 earnings per share. The best year ever was the fiscal year when GTA IV was released and Take-Two made 1.5 billion dollar respective $2 earnings per share. So as you can see there is absolutely no room for a release in March but April, May and maybe early June. That was delayed for over a decade... I don't think it was necesarily delayed for a decade. It was a development mess changing hands. It was meant to be a PS1 game initially. Secura Posted November 27, 2012 Share Posted November 27, 2012 R* don't exactly have the best track record when it comes to releasing games on the dates that they say they will, but quite recently they've been doing okay and at the moment we've got a pretty open release schedule the entirety of Spring, rather then let's say specific days and months like they usually give us. I seem to remember them changing Red Dead's release date from March to April to May, Spring's definitely a more open playing field for R* as a whole, so I'm going out on a limb here and saying no - they've differed from their normal marketing techniques for a reason and I get the feeling that this might just be it.
