Not strange at all. Thats the downside of getting a sh*tton of information in bulk.

Can't believe some of you are already having withdrawal.

We got what we need. The rest should be a surprise until we play the game ourselves.

I love the lack of news.

...i just don't get some of you people... confused.gif so you're saying you like being uninformed? ...how come is that good feeling, living under the curtain of uncertainty...thats just beyond me...what could be more sweet that another portion of fresh hot news? (and no i don't mean in concern with real life, i'm talking about gaming industry specifically...just to avoid those predictable "hot girl in bikini", "hot sweet roll" or "bathtub/shower..." kind of responses, which i think otherwise would be inevitable...)...

i don't know, with far cry 3 and other current games coming out with so many features they have raised the bar on what an open world game contains, as have rockstar in the past. It seems like either rockstar is hiding almost everything or it just won't have all the things we know it will need.

I will always like the feel of gta the best because of the 3rd person view and how the player moves and we all know there will be extreme attention to detail but if they don't trump farcry 3's additions and improve all theyre current systems(ai,animals, minigames like surfing and rappeling), gta will seem dead in a way for the first time.

I'd like them to show more and prove me wrong.

Let's just put it this way, the more info you get, the less exciting it is when you play. It's much more fun discovering things on your own than knowing them on fresh news.

It's all about the long-term. Sure, avoiding information or hoping there will be less information is not fun, but it means that the game itself will be more of a surprise and that will ultimately make it better. To be honest, I already feel like I know way too much about the map and what's in it.

So seeing more fresh news would bring good feelings, but it spoils too much of the game after a while. A person's limit will of course differ depending on the individual. So one may have to do the tough choice of avoiding that information, in order to preserve the game's mystique. I mean, it's not the best kind of uncertainty to, say, not know whether the flamethrower or chainsaw is back, or whether the Wanted system will be heavily improved. But for those of us who plan on purchasing the game anyways (which I suppose wouldn't include those more skeptical about the game because they didn't like IV, like yourself), what's in the game is in the game, and it's better to discover these things on your own.

That's why many of us consider it best that the news isn't too common or overly informative.

...haven't you tried to accept, that its not the same for others?... confused.gif ...i get it, you don't like knowing too much about the game, but i feel different! i'm eager to know every single detail possible, so it'd help me to deicde whether this game interests me or not...and what if i buy the game, but in the end of the day it'll not live up to my expectations? confused.gif ...its like this, you don't like to be informed - you avoid mass media sources, that provides infos, articles, topic etc...regarding the game you're looking forward to and other who don't wish follow your route go and check all the news they want! ...both fronts are happy...and if you aren't resistant enough, so you'd be able to avoid released info, then in this case the only fool to blame yourself is in fact - you!, not R*! for releasing the info for those ,who asked for it..wish more people had my insight on this kind of situation... confused.gif

BullworthAcademy.

The best part about buying video games is not knowing what to features to expect. It's best to just discover all good features in a game on your own instead of reading news updates.

In my opinion.

I say this because if I know what to expect then wheres the fun in it?

...and that is the problem, i'm that EXACT kind of person as you described in your post! "looking for a confirmation of chainsaws or flamethrowers being in...", i'm all like that and i can't do anything with it!...

...okay let me come up with an example ,because some people seem not to get it...imagine you've eaten a hot swee troll and then , you eat another but it isn't as tasty and sweet as first one, how would you react? wouldn't you prefer second being as tasty or better, than first one? ...same with games, those who became fan of earlier titles, expect and hope for specific things to return from previous games, so its not some kind of genius's maths to realize what this person would feel and HOW would he feel if sequel won't have those precious "sweet" things prequel had...so off course this person needs to know if those favorite feature of his returns in a sequel or not...

I don't get some of you people. Do you really, and I mean really want to know so much about the game before you get it? Do you read a whole plot synopsis for a movie before you go see it? You'll have a much better experience when everything to you is brand new and a surprise. Instead of "Oh yeah, I saw this coming. I remember reading about this seven months ago. So predictable and boring!"

I know I'm going to get ripped apart for saying this, but there is such thing as too much info. You might as well wait a few days after the release of the game and watch someone play the game and do everything, then buy it.

i just edited my previous post and explained it with an example...besides i don't feel about this whole situation the same as you! i'm very selective and nitpicky person to say the least, so if something that i expect to see ends up, not being in the game, that ONE thing might be enough to ruin game for me and make decision not to buy it...i don't like dealing with compromises, such as compensation for the lack of those stuff that i expected/wanted to see in the game with those stuff, that replaces it...call me conservative extremist if you want, but thats what i'm and thats what some other people are...

Thanksgiving week in the U.S. is too crowded by the holiday itself and weekend sales messaging. Not the week to get a lot of bang for your marketing buck for talking about next year.

They could show or tell us glimpses of just about anything where we would see new things but we still wouldn't know how those things would look or play out. Everyones problems solved. They could use thier clever around the back question answering in hinting new features very easily. But who cares im sure they are just trying to save a few bucks by keeping quiet and not doing anything.
