SwizzJiggy
Actually, When R* made Midnight club 3 dub edition, the peds actually stopped, looked at your car and hollered at you, it was f*cking amazing.
Sneakerhead.
Won't happen because the second you find a rare car it starts appearing everywhere. Yeah, that's a little glitch they had on GTA IV, but I think R* is smart enough to fix a glitch over the 4+ years they have to develop the game? Not a glitch, it has to do with memory usage. The theory is that if you just repeat the car that the player is driving in a certain area and just add 4-5 different brands in the mix as well it will save memory usage compared to having 100% completely different cars every time a player is near. Ok, so the rareness of the cars can't be fixable(?), but the interaction between you and the peds can still be improved. Actually the car appearing everywhere problem can be fixed. Kuunkulta
Wasn't it confirmed that you can flip off random people and get very varied responses? If they seriously added all manner of npc reactions to being flipped off, I'm sure the peds will have a lot more other comments as well including about our cars and clothes
MotjoBoss
It takes al lot of work to let ped's interact with words. It's a lot easier to let a ped look at your car. When you drive by some peds will turn their head to look at your car. But I really hope they say something and I reeeeaaaally hope supercars don't spawn all over the place.. otherwise it will be: Wow .. nice car Wow.. nice car wow... nice car wow... nice car Wow.. Nice car Wow... nice car Just like these girls. imagine peds turn around like this when you drive in supercar or when you walk by in a nice suit. smoky250
If peds gather around supercars, I know what I'm putting a sticky bomb on every time I get out of a supercar. Brucie really should've been in V. Taking a sweet car and slapping tasteless aftermarket rims and other crap on it really is the California way. Snipin AZN
She cares. I know it's not the best quality, but she does look over to the car for about 1~2 seconds as she walks by. I think peds will react to supercars! Yay

thebestgameever
Of course the AI did not react to super or high end cars in IV, cause one you get into one, there were like 100 exact same cars driving around, making it less rare and not as awesome

KING2dor
The ignorance on these Forums never fail to amaze me..... Apparently nobody here has played San Andreas?! What are you talking about? San Andreas featured pedestrian reactions to your cars, clothes, tattoos, haircuts and general respect level and sex appeal. If your were driving a supercar peds would react like "wow nice car!" Or "I can tell he has money!" And you could react negatively or positively with a button press. You fools/newbs have apparently never played that game or too glib too have noticed those features

BlademanX
In real life, let's say if someone is parking a Ferrari Enzo at a crowded area, what do you think will happen? Most likely, people will pull out their phones and start taking pictures or at least say something about the car (such as: "Whoa nice car") In GTA IV, it felt very unrealistic to park my Infernus next to a group of people who are looking somewhere else like nothing is happening. Depends majority of people dont really care tbh. Unless your some 18 year old or a journalist who fascinated by cars, where im from if you got it someone else probably has, Like me i love cars but you wont catch me taking pictures or telling people how nice their cars look. Thats too much riding!

Thats too much riding! It really depends on the area too. A Lambo rolling around in the Beverly Hills would be common, but if you roll around in a Lambo near the poor area where people don't see those cars very often, there would be a good reaction. In real life, I'm in an average neighborhood (Not poor or rich) but when a Ferrari pulls over at the mall, people just go nuts n starts taking pics. John Footpenis
They should bring back the feature from III where if you sat still too long in the wrong area someone would try to jack you for your car. Of course R* need to make it where you can get it back, especially if it's your very own custom car.
Luminosity
Improvement to the overall pedestrian reactions to things you do would be pretty cool to me. IV had this to an extent for weapons like if you pulled out a rocket launcher or rifle they would stand and look at you, say something and then run away and it was the same with honking a cars horn. Just imagine pulling up in your cheetah and some peds coming over and taking a picture of themselves next it as if it's theirs or driving around in ganton (or whatever it's gonna be called) and then some guy runs up and tries to steal it. epicluca
Wasn't that already in? If I remember, peds always had little comments on how you look (not sure about cars you drove). Well he isn't talking about how he looks he's talking about how peds react to cars so your comment is pointless.
T0X1C
This was in San Andreas, it added to your sex appeal. People would literally stop and stare.
ZoeChamp
i remember pedestrians would comment on cars in GTA:SA, for instance on Grove street if you appeared with a customized car when you got out the gang members would comment and sometimes the hookers would too. and that same guy who keeps jacking cars would do it too and then steal it if you walked away far enough. it just seems to be a feature left out of gta4.
