MosquitoSmasher Posted November 26, 2012 Share Posted November 26, 2012 It's been an interesting year, having to wait till July for a few screenshots and a huge screenshot update in August with of course the second trailer earlier this month. It's over however now, the cover story happened, several previews with more new information happened and chances are that we are in for more silence for a while now. It remains to be seen if we'll get more frequent updates on little things GTA V though. Max Payne 3 DLC is over, not that it matters cause i never blamed or thought it took GTA V's place for getting updates. That was a bullsh*tty thing to think anyway. So i'm wondering..how are ya'll holding up? How's your hype level? My hype level was very high right after the trailer and it's totally gone now. That's not to say i'm not looking forward to Spring 2013, but it's still quite some time away, we all like to think five months or six months is nothing, but it IS. Plus there's just a flood of great games out there now, playing games like Hitman Absolution, Halo 4, ACIII, soon Far Cry 3 and still games like Sleeping Dogs, Darksiders and Borderlands 2 that i must buy. I have no time to sit and wait and do nothing but wait for GTA V. I'm glad too...cause earlier this year when we all kept expecting updates on GTA V, i was simply not in the mood for any games...i'm glad i am now though. I also see lots of things in games like Hitman Absolution that remind me of GTA games, the NPC A.I. clearly has been improved, people say things to you and when you keep bumping into them, eventually they want to arrest/fight/shoot you...similar to how that sh*t went in GTA IV eh . And Far Cry 3 shows me things that i really want to see in GTA V. Like the huge variety of wild animals. So...what games are ya'll playing and how big really is the hype level still? Like i said..it's pretty non existant right now for me, but i'm sure when we'll get a new update that it will come back again. I just really wonder what's gonna happen next. Chances are that Rockstar will put the real GTA V site only sometime soon..like..maybe next month or at the latest early 2013,or at least..that's what i expect. What i really hope though is that Rockstar won't reveal too much anymore though, update the Newswire now and then with a new screenshot or some artwork and of course a third trailer but don't reveal too much information anymore. So far they have done a fantastic job and other companies like Ubi well...for my liking they spoiled way too much about Far Cry 3, so Rockstar keep it up. When we all got to read the new information on the game, it felt like they had revealed it all. But then i realized how much we still don't know...like.... - How much more realistic will paramedics behave now when someone has been shot/killed? - Will the fire department finally do their jobs properly? lol - Cops and their behaviour - Weapon customization? - Car customization? - All the other non-mentioned mechanics that no doubt will have received a big improvement which will make the game feel very new. And i can't help but feel that Rockstar is hiding something big, not as in another city, not at all, but something else. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sure, there are other games to play, but I'm a bit of a Rockstar fanboy, to be honest. I guess I'll re-play all of the GTA games in chronological order, to pass the time and prepare for V's release. There's simply no other game that can give me the same feeling that I get from a Rockstar game, so there's that. I'm extremely excited for this game, the last time I was this excited for a game was....never. But I can understand the hype dying down between info blowouts, although my hype level has stayed the same since the first trailer. And that hype level would be called: "A f*ck ton of hype and excitement!" But as far as info goes, I'm happy with what we have. I wouldn't want much more, nor do I think they'll release much more. Another trailer or two will suffice. Maybe some more screenshots or something as well. Now we play the waiting game. The hardest part of this whole thing, for me. In fact, I stopped being hyped about games at all, being hyped about a game leads to disappointment most of the time. In fact I don't even want more information on the story or anything like that, I would be fine if they would just confirm fun things that the old GTA's had (like customization) etc. They should keep the NEW things a secret. I am holding up quite fine so far... could be the exams I have the following couple of weeks but I'm not expecting any new info too soon. The one info I'm eager to hear is the confirmation for a PC version... which, sadly, we won't get too soon... Anyway I guess after I buy my new rig, which should be once the exams are over so I have no distraction from studying (which is going wonderfully well, as you can see) the games I couldn't play with decent FPS will keep me busy. Alot of people here seriously couldn't wait for updates on the game, and in some cases it almost seemed like their lives depended on getting some information on it really. Maybe i worded it wrong, but basically i just meant...what are you doing now that the waiting for a real update on GTA V is over? We now know so much more than what we knew before the cover story and previews, and that is quite a big thing for this forum. I was simply interested in what they are doing in terms of gaming while the wait for GTA V. So you sir went WAY overboard with the rest of your reply....jeez dude. As for Max Payne 3 dlc, my bad..i thought they had just released the last one of them. After the long wait R* made us go through, i think i can handle another long wait by R* we did it once and we can sure do it again. Im hoping my ps2 and gta sa game will stop being gay c*nts and let me play them without freezing or glitching, ill be fine till spring.
