SDBred619 Posted November 26, 2012 Share Posted November 26, 2012 So somewhere, I believe it was the GI article, they were discussing the character switching mechanic and it was pointed out that when switching characters a wheel would pop up displaying the characters. The bottom one was greyed out and was assumed to be multiplayer. I think that's a somewhat safe assumption, I suppose...but just maybe that isn't the case. Maybe it's for another playable character, one that's unlocked through playing the story. Maybe there is a fourth protagonist. If there is, I'd wager it's a female. Seems strange to have 3 main protagonists and none of them be a chick. Maybe it's the lady cop? Thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It was definitely said there was a greyed out spot on the character wheel but I'm not going to go digging around for it. Maybe someone more patient than I can. xWH1T30UTx Posted November 26, 2012 Share Posted November 26, 2012 It's certainly possible, I think. There's a lot of things the fourth slot could be; the most likely being the multiplayer. I made a topic about this awhile ago. But, if it isn't used for multiplayer, I think it'd be cool to use it for a surprise fourth character, maybe some DLC or unlocking it as the story progresses. Also, I was doing some thinking the other day, and came up with a pretty epic idea. If the multiplayer thing turns out to be true, maybe, just maybe you'll be able to use your multiplayer character to freeroam within the single player world. I think that'd be awesome. I liked playing as the custom charaters in GTA IV, and it'd be a nice break from playing as the three other protagonists. I'm excited to see what Rockstar decides to do with this fourth slot. If all else fails, they may just do-away with it and turn the radial menu into a triangular type design, at least with the way the characters seem to be positioned on the radial menu. CalderThePirate Posted November 26, 2012 Share Posted November 26, 2012 It would be pretty cool if the 4th was your Multiplayer character, and it would seamlessly integrate with a lobby of players when you switch to Multiplayer. Like a free roam, well the lobby is trying to decide what to play, and such. I was always a huge fan of GTA 4's MP, if they could integrate it so smoothly into the game, that it doesn't break the atmosphere, that would be awesome. I think this is the new way we will get to it, maybe we will try to switch to it, and a box will pop up saying ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO SWITCH TO MULTIPLAYER?
