KillaMoneyMike
....from a higher distance than GTA IV? We all saw Trevor bail from the plane in the end of that last trailer, but do you think that was higher than the max altitude from GTA IV? Its hard to tell. Also, do you think that was real gameplay or not? It looked like it could of been a cutscene.

I think it was a cutscene, but I also don't see why you couldn't do it in the real gameplay.
Pantera2198
Rockstar has always 1up'd other open world games, and seeing the success of Just Cause you would think that they would take their best and make it equal to or better so as long as keeping it within the realm of GTA. I think they are taking this game with the mindset that they want to make it the biggest, best, better than all the other guys games. It's their best game, and their biggest seller and to keep killing the competition they need to strive at keeping them on their toes. Just Cause had a extremely high surface cieling well above the clouds, and I think R* realizes that was a want from open world gamers. I beleive we will be flying high, and will be seeing a much higher sky dive than previous games.
KillaMoneyMike
I know, Just Cause 2 had an insane distance. I doubt R* would want to be outdone on any category. Hopefully they put their time into and not just re-using it from the engine of IV. I think the jumping distance was veryyy important. I always love jumping out of those planes man. GTA IV wasn't too low or anything it was fun enough, but I always still wanted to go higher. The higher, the better. Its just that much more fun when you hit the ground. Chopper Gunner
For sure! And that scene of Trevor jumping out seemed a lot higher than the max altitude for GTA IV. What Im hoping for is ejection seats in the fighter jets when the going gets tough. If you think about all of the amazing things Rockstar is doing with GTA V, its very possible. Da_Lurker
That Trevor scene was probably higher than any current GTA, including San Andreas. Or maybe it's the impressions of being able to see the very bottom at the same time he's jumping, at the highest attitude SA was all foggy and clouded. Hurrikane
Without a doubt, when up high in the sky we will be able to bail out and parachute to our destination. It was always a great rush doing that in SA, and especially from Mount Chiliad.
GourangaMaster
That shot of trevor jumping is defineltly much higher than the ceiling GTAIV had. If you look towards the upper portion past the winding valley faintly seeing a building in between the clouds and it is tiny. I dont recall sky scrapers ever appearing to be that small when skydiving in GTA IV so i think the altitude limit has been raised significantly. killahmatic
IV's ceiling was extremely low, if you ask me. V is clearly higher. And yes, you'll be able to bail out of a plane higher in V than in IV, because IV didnt have planes.

Also, im sure they will have raised the ceiling for this game.
Acehilm
Yes, I would say we are able to bail from a plane; as seen in the trailer. It looks like a mini-game to me in my opinion.
