Honest Bill Posted November 26, 2012 Share Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) Dan Houser was interviewed by IGN, and he was asked about mutiplayer, he said the following; "I believe this one will be the best we've delivered yet, the most comprehensive package and the best set of things you can do and ways you can organize and try to make it compelling… We think there's something very compelling about open world multiplayer. We believe this is the game with which we will finally convince other people of that, a large number of other people. We just need to get closer before we're quite ready to show it." This quote interests me, particularly in the context of free roam dynamic events and possible heist mechanics in multiplayer free roam. Houser seems quite confident that this mutiplayer will be something fresh. if it were just an upgraded IV or RDR multiplayer, i don't really feel he would feel justified to make that sort of statement. Giving you a purpose to play the mutiplayer games is key. Houser was talking about heists a lot too.. I'm really hopin we can set our own up with our crew.. Kinda like the RDR hideouts and bank robberies.. But maybe with a bit of set up and planning. With the giant map and possibly an increase of players you can fit in one game it could be EPIC. Amazing.. People really love mutiplayer these days? I am only looking forward to the Single Player, GTA has always been about the missions etc. Games like COD, BF3 etc, I'd be looking forward to the multiplayer. I fear this downward trend, More devs spending more time on Mutiplayer in sacrifice to content for single player.. *sigh* Bring back the good ol' days! Finn 7 five 11 Posted November 26, 2012 Share Posted November 26, 2012 It would be cool if they added game modes similar to trouble in terrorist town where there is a bank heist and we have to discover who is a traitor trying to sell us out. Traitors can see other traitors, but innocents see everyone as innocent until after they die, That would be a fun game mode, search up trouble in terrorist town if you want to know more. Multiplayer needs a massive revamp from IV, it was quite slow and clunky as f*ck, so even getting the basics right would be a huge improvement. Dan Houser could just be hyping it up though, it will be good but not absolutely amazing like Battelfield or Call Of Duty multiplayer. Max Payne 3 had fun MP. Me and my friend would run riot around Liberty City but the place was dead. No hot dog vendors, no-one serving you at Burger shot...nothing to interact with really. Took us a while to figure out how to get the police to aknowledge our existence. Really piss poor. I hope GTA 5 has some open world missions/tasks for online co-op/MP. Hot dog stands spawned in Free Mode but there was no one working them. They did a much better job bringing the liveliness of the world to multiplayer in RDR. He's the king of stating how things are going to be "revolutionary" without actually giving us any specifics, or any information at all about what multiplayer is going to be like. This game's SP is going to last much longer than IV with the replay value of playing the missions differently...not to mention all the side activities and fun I will have in SP MP let's the game last longer though IMO. You can play GTA IV to this day and still have a good time minus the griefers...V's map will be 5x the size as IV apparently so you can just imagine how much longer MP will last...the possibilities are endless Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I know the free roam will be good but everything else has yet to be seen. with racing the cars need to have realistic speeds. Single player would be good at times, but eventually the multiplayer is what keeps me interested for years. I can't wait to see what GTA V's multiplayer will be like.
