Even if it doesn't have as many missions they could still make them longer and more in depth. Like for example most missions are about as long as 3 average sized missions in GTA IV.

 

RDR only had about 54 missions, but they were usually longer than the average GTA mission.

I suppose you're not exactly whining, but you are criticizing a game that isn't even out yet. There will likely be less missions than IV, but RDRs length is fine. The missions will definitely be longer. And Rockstar have already said they're going to vary more than the missions in IV.

 

Hopefully this also mean there is less filler missions. IVs story could of been so much better.

still, i havent even critscized the game either ? as i said im wondering and being worried a bit, im not saying i dont like, or when i created the thread i didnt like it bit thne people have been discussing and kinda convincing me and giving me theories how and why it will work anyway, and thats exactly why i created a thread so people could discuss.

The story will be 25 hours long, that is a lot of story. As for missions, even though RDR had less than any GTA, the game felt longer imo.

 

People need to stop getting hung up on story length/mission count, because if that is the only fun you get from a GTA game your doing something seriously different to the majority of GTA players.

The OP is lying, I did not read anything about GTA V having only 50 missions. Unless I see evidence in the form of a link to an interview where Dan Houser said this, or anything else of strong credibility, then I cannot take the OP's word for it. The OP is telling us "he can't remember which interview". That bullsh*t, I challenge him to find it, and I bet he will not.

 

We don't know how many missions GTA V, Rockstar have not revealed those details yet. And while GTA IV might have been over 90 missions in total, a great part of it were mostly filler missions that was quite repetitive hitman stuff. I wouldn't mind a bit less missions (60-80 missons) that were much longer than previous average GTA missions and well-thought out and created. Quality over quantity for sure. But I would like GTA V to have a great number of side missions too, to boost the gameplay length.
