ChrissDaMan
After seeing This threadi got my self thinking Do you think there will be a game that is heatured in the past like Vice City and San Andreas (VC Stories ofcourse) Or will R* do it but with other titles? like Red Dead? Then i have another question that i have been thinking of asking here at the forums After V is out i think the most of us expect Vice City but after that? what do u think they will to then? make one game with Los Santos (or whole San Andreas) , Liberty City and Vice City combined together or will that be the start of a new city or maybe another countrey What are your thoughts about the future? And for all you haters: yeah i know some gonna say "what GTAV isnt out yet and your talking about gta VI?" or what ever but im just curious what yall think And yeah im a lousy speller

simonp92
Nope. Remember the graffiti in GTA IV? "RIP Claude, Tommy, Tony, Carl etc." R* has moved on, so should we. EDIT: I've read the OP wrong. I apologize, I thought you meant if we'll ever see a game in the 3rd era again. TonyResta
I'm fine with GTA being in the past as long as it doesn't go back too much. What i mean by that is not many can relate to dates later than the 80's or 70's. Definately 80's is as far as it should go imo.

I didnt meant go back to the past with Claude, Tony and all those, i meant just go back to the 80s maybe with some of the charecters from GTA IV when they were 20 or some like that

AceHigh11
The GTA games will probably stay in America. Dan Houser pointed that out in some European magazine where they asked if there will ever be a GTA in Amsterdam.

tenpennyisplainevil
I prefer past settings myself. RDR was awesome for example (funny how my grandpa was about the same age as John Marston in 1911). SA was also epic. Reliving old times is way better than living current times. *asshole version* If I wanted to play GTA in a present day setting I'd go outside and shoot a couple police officers before I steal a car as getaway. Remember in that version you're not coming out alive, you only get one life, no health packs, 1 shot and you're weak, cops have no mercy, and cars don't just start. I dare you try it, you wont be around for anymore GTA's.

Facepalm at government First: LOL, how about playing GTA in jail, you will come out of jail a better person? Better criminal i think. And second: That makes it a good idea to commit a crime right around spring next year, since being locked in the room where i live is kinda the same thing to being in prison. I might try to rob a bank or something. Id consider it a freeroll

I guess the concept of getting them back in society rather than punishing them actually works out.

Timich
having 3 major cities lke LC, VC & LS in one game would be awsome. i think cities like chicago, atlanta or something like southern usa(like in SA having few cities, like ATLANTA, memphis, new orleans)could be interesting places. Mikeol1987
San Fierro. the 60s. Thats my idea for GTA VI, combining both my basic idea that I think San Fierro will be visited next regardless of timeframe, but adding the 1960s to the mix as R* have done the 60s before with GTA London, and San Fransisco in the 1960s was an interesting place to be. hippy movement, and all that, politicians getting shot. I know they said III Era wouldn't return, but as this is completely hypothetical, imagine the protagonist to be The Truth from SA! that'd be cool, no? Even though San Fierro was my least favourite city in SA, I think it deserves a re-look. Scratching all that, late 70s Chicago type. killahmatic
If the next game is Vice City, or even if it isnt, i think a lot of people think San Fierro and Las Venturas are a possibilty, and they really are.. any of them could take place in the past. But once thats done, the possibilities are endless. With the new systems coming, they may decide a bigger, better Liberty City is the right way to go. If I were R*, i'd wait until the next next generation of consoles are released to make an entire map of San Andreas, Vice City, and Liberty City combined. By then, technology will be so far advanced that anything is possible. They could make each island farther apart than a river or canal separating them... They could actually add a 2-3 minute flight between them. But thats really to far to speculate on. Fun thinking about it though..
