SmileyHam
Some are interesting things in the files: radar_police Probably used to mark the police departments. Never used in game. radar_fire Probably used to mark the fire departments. Never used in game. radar_boattour Apparently there was going to be a boat tour like the heli tours. footprints_02 Rockstar hid their logo on the foot print. Sneaky sneaky. vehiclepoldecals128 San Andreas Police? The f*ck? platecharset Ok this is good proof right here that there was going to be random license plates like in GTA SA. It was scraped for some reason. It is found in textures under vehicles.wtd plateback1 San Fierro Plate? This is weird. Never seen in game... plateback2 Las Ventures Plate... from San Andreas. Like the one above. plateback3 This is f*cking creepy. Los Santos Plate from San Andreas. Goes with the 2 above. Proof that silenced pistol was going to be in the game. Sound files: SILENCED_PISTOL_SHOT1 SOUND1 SILENCED_PISTOL_SHOT2 SOUND2 Proof that the wooden bat was in the game. Sound files: Sounds a lot like the aluminium bat in the game. WOODEN_BAT SOUND1 WOODEN_BAT_PED SOUND2 Pool cue. You guys probably know this already but if you don't... it's a scrapped weapon that still exists in the game. It has the textures and models. Can be obtained with a trainer. bm_pool_cuewood w_cueicon Interesting. I'll be searching for more... Did you guys find anything else worth looking at? The_Anti-tragedy
The radar_snake was shown on the radar as Revenge, A Dish Served Cold. The LCPD stations were probably marked on the radar but Rockstar may have removed it, same with FDLC stations. I think the radar_female was a random encounter blip; in EFLC the blips are white from a distance and it becomes blue when the character is there so they may have planned that for IV. As you said, the pool cue was a removed weapon and the HUD icon is there.

SARDYNA108
Pedestriands in Liberty City actually have R* logo on down sides of their shoes
The_Masquerader
A widely known fact, I know but the pool cue is used as a weapon in The Lost And Damned if you play a game of pool in the clubhouse. I don't know if you have to win, but afterwards, it will show up on the table and you can pick it up.

cholesterol
What's up with SA textures? Really strange. Maybe IV was originally going to have a mission there or a cutscene?
gamerzworld
What's up with SA textures? Really strange. Maybe IV was originally going to have a mission there or a cutscene? ...or Rockstar was too lazy to delete old SA files. Spoiler: It's the lazy theory. cholesterol
Rage wasn't based on the III era engine. RAGE evolved from the Angel Game Engine originally developed by Angel Studios for use in the sixth generation console era versions of the Midnight Club series and other Rockstar San Diego games. wiki It doesn't make since to borrow textures from SA. imo Maybe they were going to be used in a scrapped tech demo showing off IV compared to SA. NewportByChrysler
Obviously left over from SA.
MikeMyth
What's up with SA textures? Really strange. Maybe IV was originally going to have a mission there or a cutscene? Probably not. Maybe they had people from LS, LV, and LS, who drove vehicles with that liscense plate. You know not everyone from NY has a NY plate...
