GTA4  just saying....

Yup, I tought GTA IV was just a game to test their new game engine RAGE.

Actually R* Table Tennis was the game they made to test RAGE. IV was their first attempt at an open world game on RAGE & it's still the most 'realized' open world game ever made. Until V comes along that is.

 

 

I think it's nice to see a topic like this once and awhile. Rockstar really does deserve a simple "Thank you," at the very least. Often times, the people who are grateful for something are entirely overshadowed by the people who bitch about everything.

 

That's because the people who bitch & moan, do so incessantly. Their writing is also usually the text equivalent of a shrieking baby.

 

I've also realized that people who act 'negatively' just so they can go against the grain, tend to be lonely people who lost all their friends long ago.

I am sure that Rockstar certainly loves making money because who doesn't? That being said they seem to still give a damn about putting quality out which is much more than many other developers. They could just release a slightly tweaked HD version of San Andreas every year and many people would be happy about that but they don't.

Actually they are better than a lot of the gaming companies, they are all pretty bad though, i read all the company scores on some website, I'll try find the link now, it's a legitimate site with proper company reviews.

Well, if I have to choose a developer, I would choose Rockstar. I love GTA Vice City, San Andreas, IV, EFLC, I love RDR, LA NOIRE (not really Rockstar but still), and I'm sure I will love V. I don't really get why we should "thank" Rockstar, it's not like they're making the game for us to say thank you. I don't thank movie directors for making great movies, I just recognize the talent of the director, just like I recognize the talent of Rockstar. Rockstar is amazing at their job which is developing games, but I don't thank them for it. The people I thank are people who do things specifically for me (ie mechanics, plumbers, doctors, electricians, etc.)
