Thank you, Rockstar, for putting so much work, effort and money into what you do. Every new game you release is fresh, ambitious and extremely satisfying while passing. You're not like those greedy bastards from other companies who release new games every 6 months while adding only a few new bits in them. You always bring us something surprising, exciting, amazing, and that's just great. Thanks, again icon14.gif.

I just had to. They've earned it.

i would like to thank R* for allowing wal-mart to sell max payne 3 for $15. it's worth it. icon14.gif

its gone down in price through lack of sales, nothing else.

its already £18 on 360 here in the UK, which is pretty rare considering its young age, and that GTAIV/EFLC is still selling for £18

On Thanking Rockstar, I agree... putting it simply they are one of the only decent games companies left, as said all the others are releasing the same game with new bits here and there, Call of Duty series for instance, which I used to absolutely adore when it was ww2 shooters, really atmospheric and cool. now they're in the near-future fighting robots, and I think i'd have more fun on CoD multiplayer if I shoved a fire iron up my arse and sniffed lines of pepper and ammonia whilst playing it. f*cking treyarch, idiots, now its practically the same over and over.

Yeah Rockstar do deserve a thanks, but they won't if they release crappy DLC's for this game like "Dinner Suit" or "Multiplayer Weapons make you better than everyone else that doesn't wanna buy a DLC to make them buy a DLC DLC"

Yeah Rant Over.

They deserve thanks, but do they deserve a topic?

I don't idolize any company in any sector.

I'd buy any R* game without knowing a thing about it, or even what genre it's in. Does this make me crazy? Probably. All I know is that even if the game doesn't live up to expectations, it wasn't from a lack of effort (as some individual would like you to believe).

Say what you want about it, it was fresh. It was something new. Maybe they went the wrong direction, but at least it was another direction.

I actually quite liked GTA IV by the way. But I understand if you didn't.

are you not contradicting your first statement by just a little by saying you'd blindly buy a game just because rockstar made it?

That's why I preemptively called myself crazy.

Exactly my thoughts about IV, it was great for me, but I understand the people saying it "failed".

Exactly my thoughts about IV, it was great for me, but I understand the people saying it "failed".

it depends on how you play the game, to how you reviewed GTAIV in the end, if you're creative, you can find tonnes of stuff to do, I love GTAIV as I'm the sorta guy who is just happy with some decent car handling and a nice city to explore and shoot people in.

after all, GTA was always about doing your own thing.

To make it less of a failure to the newer audiences such as the ones who were disappointed by GTAIV, it simply needs more mini-games and stuff to do than IV, which we know it has.

Also, the Multiplayer needs to be exactly like how RDR's set out, Freeroam, then choose your game modes from the side, not a bunch of weird modes no-one knows or wants to know how to play. that was a big issue for me with GTAIV, I was heavily disappointed in the MP modes.

Lets face it I think the competitive modes of IV would of lasted alot longer if it was simply classics like CTF or TDM. (of course we've got TDM) but GTA-CTF would be great, amongst other styles. a conquest style mode would be good (ala Battlefield)

they need to really focus with the mp this time. and I trust R* I know they've learnt alot from the success that was RDR's Multiplayer so I'm not overly worried but it is something that concerns me.

The problem with people saying it "failed" is that they compare the game with SA, wich is TOTALLY different, because it was anothe era of sorts, IV was HD, a new engine, Euphoria, etc...

To be honest with you guys

GTA 4 story was better than san andreas but it wasn’t fun at all, no variety, too repetitive , drive here come back , do it again

and it was empty .When you finish the story, nothing left in the game.

GTA is not about the story , Give me freedom.

Being a fanboy is completely illogical & anti-consumerist. I don't see how it's any different to saying, I'd like to walk into a shop that only offers me a choice of two products.

It's just that every R* developed (not published eg LA Noire) game I've bought at full price, has been worth it to me. Even if a game seemingly has no replayability for (Max Payne 3) it still has production values, gameplay & physics that have no equal in the genre. It's on an upgraded custom engine & uses animation software not available "off the shelf". Even if you think Dan Houser's writing has become a bit pretentious, it's still of high calibre even by movie standards.

Everyone has their favourite development house & without question R* is mine. That might not always be the case, but if they continue to go against the grain & not blindly chase dollar signs. They will always get my money on, or near release date.

I have spent hours after hours just driving people over. Shooting people. Pushing people from cliffs/stairs. Getting drunk. Letting myself get hit by a car. Letting myself fall off the stairs. The euphoria engine gave me so much fun that I forgot about the fact that there wasn´t a lot to do in Liberty City.

The new euphoria engine with a detailed HD city gave me enough to do. The fact that videos like this one (

) have been watched over 50.000 times says enough.

I think we should get all the ego stroking posts on here (including mine) & post them on Newswire. You know just to break up the deluge of "Why u noze put bodybuilding in game. U suck!" (although not that eloquent).
