I don't think there ever has been a game that has truly represented the feeling of SoCal. TC: LA did a good job of representing LA, but it looks like sh*t today (though back then the graphics looked pretty good), and it is repetitive (though has many LA landmarks and streets, all represented accurately). I have to agree gta 3 had a great story but there was something about it that made it boring and bland I was blown away when I first played it, but after seeing Vice City and San Andreas, playing III again is like taking a step backwards. There's really no benefit in playing it other than for nostalgia. It's just the same game with features stripped back and removed and the smallest possible GTA map. Say what you want based on the trailers and the screenshots and all of the information given to us, but to say that GTA V will definitely suck without even playing it once is ridiculous and absurd. Second of all, I disagree with your statement. GTA did well in New York, and it can do well in Los Angeles. LA is one of the more exhilarating and interesting cities in the United States and does have a lot to offer. Be grateful Rockstar chose LA and some not rinky-dink town in South Dakota with only a barbershop, a bank, a grocery store and a population of eight.
