It marks the death of GTA as we knew it (although GTA4 threw the first punch, GTA5 is running over the series with a bulletproof-limo and burying it in ) The most well-liked (by fans, not sure about reviewers) GTA games are the ones set in Liberty City. Liberty City, based off NYC, should remain the only setting in the GTA series, however each new installation should expand upon LC. Let's be honest, there's very few landmarks people can recognize on the West Coast, unless you live on the West Coast. New York City is the center of the universe. EVERYTHING happens in NY and then ripples outwards. There's a reason Wall Street is in NY. There's a reason the terrorists (supposedly) attacked New York. NY is also known as being a more rough-and-tumble place than the West Coast. This is evident in the first trailer even - never has a GTA game been so...beautiful. When GTA fans think of GTA, they think of cops chasing you and running over pedestrians, then getting out of the car and beating them with a bat long after they dropped their money. R* even said they're going to include wine vineyards in this game (terrifying, right?) Bring GTA back to Liberty City, Rockstar. Make the right (commonsense) choice.
