tjbyrum1
Got interested to play GTAIV online, so I put it in. I was on free-roam, so I used my general tactics (get body armor, get an assault rifle, get an SMG) and me and this guy was getting along. Unfortunately, at most, only me and two other people were playing... I remember their being a lot of people playing once. I know people lose interest over time, but perhaps I'm playing at a bad moment. So in your opinion, do people still play this often? How many people do you see online when you play? Or is it dying? NOTE: I have GTAIV on my PS3 and play it online, but I got the entire trilogy on Xbox 360 but no Xbox LIVE at the moment. Do lots of people play Gay Tony online? Everyone done moved onto that? ivxx305
More people play original GTA than the DLC's. I alternate between TBOGT and IV depending on my mood and whether or not i can tolerate heli spammers. Like they said before, it depends when you log on too... evenings get pretty busy on free mode. PlaceInHistory
I play GTA 4 online on ps3 all the time, and I don't run into a lot of people. Apparently, a lot of people play it on PC. I'm going to stick with ps3 for now.
PlaceInHistory
Also, it seems that a lot of people prefer call of duty. That game is so one dimensional compared to gta.
Morganthaler
It seems to me lately that things have picked up quite a bit - I think its probably due to that Rockstar multi-game package that came out a little while ago.
HeNDo6750
GTA IV free mode has got a bit quiet in the past 4 to 5 years since release. But it really depends on what time you go on GTA IV free mode. And does anyone know why whenever I go on TLaD, it disconnects me every time
RED_
I think every game type is dead apart from GTA Race, Race and free mode. I'm on the PS3 as well and I find I'm playing against 10 people most of the time in these 3 game modes. You just have to join a game, see how many are there; if it's only a few then join another one. Keep doing that until you find a full game with more than 5 people. Always works for me.
