If the game first starts off introducing the three main characters, then this name would go good. Michael would be the "Good" trying to create a new life away from crime, Franklin would be the "Bad" since he lives in and was brought up in crime and Trevor would simply be the "Ugly" due to his crazy personality. The good, the bad, and the ugly is just a bad comparison. First of all, none of them are "good". If any of them is 'the bad' it would be Trevor. He's our sociopathic antagonist after all. Secondly, no one fits the "the ugly" profile. And Franklin's the only one who has a legitimate job. Michael and Trevor are the career criminals. Manco wasn't exactly a good guy. Parts of it. But what do you need to see? The good guy is "The good". The bad guy/antagonist is "the bad" and the scumbag criminal is "the ugly". So Trevor is a hybrid of both the bad and the ugly. Franklin fits none of the descriptions because he is neither good or bad. Same with Michael. It just a lousy comparison I think.
