What have you Learnt from GTA?

But seriously, I'm more exposed to America and it's culture, cities etc.. , thanks to GTA.

Most things I learned from GTA is the landscapes of the cities. I started having interests about more new information, so I searched in the Internet after more informations. I got them and so I started educating myself about the cities which have been a setting in former GTAs. I read a lot about the history of them, their government, crime etc.

That will help you to understand what R* are parodying or referencing, which in turn will make the game more enjoyable.

 

I'm really envious of people who were born, or are currently living in L.A. There is nothing like a good video game rendition of your home town/city. I'm sure The Getaway on PS2 was more fun for me, than it was to someone who'd only seen London on TV. It was also a very faithful recreation, just not as fun as a R* one would be.

that real life isn't much different than GTA, alot of people are pretty screwed up.

standing in a store lineup and hearing people talk, sounds way too much like GTA peds.

even the talk radio where I live, some days? way too much like GTA radio.

 

I think R* nailed it. no need for more realism. heck they don't even have to make stuff up, its all in the news.

I don't know if I've learned anything but it has opened me up to some cool music and the huge open world lets me escape for a few hours. It's also made me want to travel in real life much more. I enjoyed it so much in a video game and there's the whole world out there just waiting for me to explore it.

I have not leart anything from GTA. It's more likely that the amount of time that I've spent procrastinating playing GTA probably made me less smarter.
