lll R34P3R lll
Hey just wondering if anyone else has seen the same wheels on two different cars in the screens released by Rockstar? I can't upload the pictures because I'm on my phone but the pictures are of the Richman Hotel and of the red Comet rear view shot. The wheels are clearly the same but have they changed the Come and maybe the cars are the same?
ASP007
I think it was discussed earlier during the time of second trailer analysis.

Shoumaker
Yea I think it has been covered there as well, But I didnt see it there so nice find! Maybe car customisation is back! We'll wait and see.
TheJasonGallant
Let's hope! It would be very nice.
lll R34P3R lll
It would indeed be awesome. I miss driving around the city, looking for a certain car to go upgrade it and store it in your garage.
carcols.dat
Previous GTA games have used the same wheels on different cars. This doesn't confirm a thing. What actually would hint at it is the presence of different wheels on the same car, not the other way around.
lll R34P3R lll
That's true but I don't think Rockstar would put the same wheels on two different sports cars.
carcols.dat
That's true but I don't think Rockstar would put the same wheels on two different sports cars. Except, like I just said, that they have in every GTA since III. And probably will continue to do so.
JB94
That's not proof. If it were two different wheels on the same car, that would be proof.
Johnny Playert
Doesn't confirm sh*t tbh. Could just be different models driving around... i hope not but until they confirm it themselves i ain't buying it.
Ryanbashaw
I wish they would, you would think it would be easy considering they make midnight club

I'm glad I'm not the only person who was betting his head blagged by the OP. Wheel customisation seems pretty pointless to me anyway. I don't really get a lot of time to play video games, so when I do I don't really want to be faffing around making sure I have the specific tyre tred to complete a mission (making sure I'm using the correct vehicle is a different matter). GTA is not a racing game, so I'm not sure why people expect it to be.

BKALLDAY
I'm not going to say this is confirmed but perhaps the Blue audi we see micheal driving in trailer 1 is the same car that's in his driveway in trailer 2 just a different paint job and rims. Could be a totally different car but I'm not ruling out customization just yet. Edit* Ok so I just watched trailer 1 and the audi is actually black, BUT the rims in T1 look more chrome compared to it in T2 where the rims are more gun metal grey/black. Not even close to being proof of any kind. and if customizing cars was possible, i doubt it would've been shown at any point in those 2 trailers, because that wasnt the theme of them at all. buickgnx88
As it's most likely been discussed everywhere else, I would love to see customization make a return. It was fun in SA where you grab any vehicle and bring it to the shop to see if there were any cool parts to add on. Saints Row 2 was also great for this, since there was always several cool things that you could add to the vehicle to make it look unique. Sure both games had the issue of you losing the car or it blowing up, but both games also offered plenty of locations to store the vehicles. It would also be a good way to make use of all the money you obtain throughout the game.

I think I spent more time collecting cars and customizing them in San Andreas than I ended up spending on the storyline! Haha.. Really hope customization makes a return in GTA V. 5000 Staples
They never use the same wheels on 'rare' sports cars ?? if so pictures of them so I can correct myself.

djdiond
Atomic Nuff Said, It was in SA it will be in V. http://www.grandtheftwiki.com/images/Atomic-GTAV-trailer.jpg Wrong, "Atomic" is the tyre brand for a lot of cars in GTA IV It originally started as a wheel option in San Andreas, but it is on the tyre and not the rim. Los Santos County Sheriff
Hey Reaper. The title of this thread is confusing. How can something be "confirmed/unofficially"? Thats like saying a person is "dead/kinda". You cant have an unofficial confirmation. It either is or it is not.

AZAZEL
in Gay Tony, the super drop diamond and the Calvacade had the same wheel. [bUSTED] Not at all ... the super drop diamond was an in game custom car. it had different rims to the super diamond ( The orignal car ) Which might just be the same situation with the Richman Hotel car, and the Comet. I'm hoping for some degree of vehicle customization, too, but there simply hasn't been any proper indications of this yet, and certainly no confirmations. TenEightyOne
I think it would mean more to see same-car-different-wheels than same-wheels-different-car, but good spot anyway
