ThisIsHorosho
Skyrim became really boring to me after i completed every single quest (misc. quests, journal entries, dawnguard and hearthfire DLCs etc...) possible in a single playthrough! I don't even wish to start it all over again...with GTA games it doesn't seem the case and i can't actually explain why...besides Skyrim's locations are extremely repetitive and boring, definite lack of environment variety, landscapes etc...its all about recycling quests, caves, dungeons and keeps after a while...but guess thats as much as you can do for a game with around 300 hours of gameplay...plus one thing i hate about Skyrim is that it lacks definite ending, that would reflect our choices we made throughout the game, which would reflect destinies of people, who we decided to help/side with or in return those who we decided to oppose...so no GTA not as bad when it comes to things like these, plus free roaming is much much more pleasing... EvilFuture
I don't think I will lose interest, but hell, even if I do I'm sure once GTA V comes out I'll be like "f*ck THIS GAME" and then play only GTA V for the whole 2013 year lol Maybe even 2014 too. GTA V will definitely be GOTY 2013/2014. GOTY this year would be MP3 IMO
motorider420
Skyrim got old real quick. I didn't even beat the game before I got bored. You almost have to have severe OCD to play it correctly. Edit: GTA, to me, is almost infinitely playable, because you can make your own games. DeafMetal
It's an amazing and addictive game, but you'll play it so much that by the time GTA V arrives, you won't want to touch it again for a while. As of right now, they're having problems with bringing the DLC to the ps3 version, so if it's possible, you should get it for the PC. While we're on that -- you won't see me making too many of these statements -- Elder Scrolls games are much better played on the PC because of mod support. It has one of the most dedicated and talented moding community out there.
TOMAHAWKS
Skyrim is for sh*tty nerds that mod their Xbox and masturbate all day. Get Skyrim if you want. I'm 100% it isn't better than GTA.
japse123
Just buy FC3 and after you've finished the story and exhausted the expansive open world make your own missions in the map editor with very smart human/animal AI with maps only limited to your own imagination. I think this will keep me and a lot of people eagerly awaiting GTA V busy for a couple of months. I wish I'd bought Far Cry 3 instead of Assassin's Creed 3. I thought it was going to be a true evolution of the series, but it wasn't that much different to the only other Ass Creed game I've played (AC2). If I'd bought & played Brotherhood & Revelations, AC3 would've bored me to tears. The voice editing was awful for a supposed AAA game, almost as bad as Far Cry 2. I'm sure FC3 improved on everything since then. Agree, AC3 was really dissapointing in my opinion. It just didn't feel as good as the other assassins creed games
BullworthAcademy.
Skyrim and GTA are two different games. Both games are good in their own ways. I like them both because of their open world gameplay.

Los Santos County Sheriff
Skyrim is for sh*tty nerds that mod their Xbox and masturbate all day. Get Skyrim if you want. I'm 100% it isn't better than GTA. Wow. Did a copy of Skyrim touch you at night then kick your dog on the way out? Such irrational and unnecessary anger is a sign of an under developed and immature mind. But back on topic, Skyrim is an amazing game (my wife and son love it as well) but it will never replace GTA in my eyes. Will you lose intrest in GTA by playing Skyrim? I cant answer that and neither can anyone else on this forum because we dont know you. I guess you can roll the dice and find out.
BlackNoise
Okay, I know this may sound pretty f*cking retarded, but I'm getting Skyrim for Christmas. Now, this is my first Elder Scrolls game, and I don't really know if I will like it or not. I am a huge GTA fan, and I have been playing it since I was pretty little. I was just wondering if I got Skyrim, would I maybe lose interest in GTA in general? I know a lot of my friends LOVE Skyrim, and they say they would play it over GTA any day. I don't really think I could ever lose interest in GTA, but I was just wondering. I do want Skyrim, but if I will lose interest, maybe I shouldn't buy it. What do you think I should do? BTW this isn't a troll. It does sound pretty f*cking stupid though, I'm just asking your opinions. lol I guess it depends on what type of games you're into. Since you're a huge GTA fan and haven't played any Elder Scrolls games, you might be like me. I just couldn't get into Skyrim. Bethesda doesn't seem to care about the same stuff R* cares about when it comes down to the details and overall presentation. It's weird, because the reason I was interested in Skyrim is because I'm such a huge fan of GTA, but my love for the GTA series is also why Skyrim didn't do anything for me. Whether you like Skyrim or not, I guarantee you won't lose interest in GTA V. If anything, hopefully you'll love Skyrim and it will keep your attention until GTA V releases. They're fundamentally different games. Owning Skyrim wont in any way dull your enjoyment of GTA V.
smoky250
Skyrim felt more like a job than a game. Medieval errand boy with a to do list a 100 tasks long isn't gaming, for me.

Yeah to be honest once I'd gotten the armor to a certain point I lost interest in the game. The plot is just a bit too weak. It's not helped by the fact that the protagonist has no voice or identity. That makes it difficult to feel invested in the plot. It's a great game though and I'll probably go back and complete it in the future.
