Racecarlock
And now, for the most logical answer in this thread. How in the hell should I know? I've never been you, I don't know you, I haven't been inside your head, I've had none of the life experiences you've had, and for all I know we could have completely different preferences. Whether or not you'll forget about GTA V will be entirely up to you once you get the game. However I can say this, there's a lot of dragon slaying and the combat actually makes you circle around and be tactical. I don't know if you like that, but I did. Edit: Nice to see everyone else is being unbiased as usual. "Oh, you'll forget skyrim in a week, but you'll love GTA forever and ever because it's that awesome!" simonp92
Skyrim is very repetative, if you wan't a good fantasy RPG go play Oblivion.
K^2
I was just wondering if I got Skyrim, would I maybe lose interest in GTA in general? For a few weeks, yes, definitely. But by the time GTA V is ready to release, you should be back to being excited about it. So it's actually a win-win. By the way, Skyrim is 50% off on Steam right now, if you were looking for PC version. (PC version can be played with controller or mouse/kbd, and PC version comes with Workshop support, which is basically a one-click way to install all kinds of user-contributed mods. So if you can get it for PC, definitely get it for PC.) Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns. Ps3blaze22
Skyrim is just another fantasy game for fat nerds who like to pretend they're not. It'll be a cool game but definitely won't overshadow your love for GTA. QFT.
Sneakerhead.
You won't because Skyrim sucks. This. I played at my friends house, and I have to say that I don't know how he likes that game the way he does.
Ferocious Banger
I personally dislike any 'hardcore RPG, fantasy' games; so it's not my cup of tea. Mind you that I didn't go into the game hating it. Only after playing it did I realize that I dislike the theme, the ' artificial ' looking world and the game itself. Dotseoem
Okay, I know this may sound pretty f*cking retarded, but I'm getting Skyrim for Christmas. Now, this is my first Elder Scrolls game, and I don't really know if I will like it or not. I am a huge GTA fan, and I have been playing it since I was pretty little. I was just wondering if I got Skyrim, would I maybe lose interest in GTA in general? I know a lot of my friends LOVE Skyrim, and they say they would play it over GTA any day. I don't really think I could ever lose interest in GTA, but I was just wondering. I do want Skyrim, but if I will lose interest, maybe I shouldn't buy it. What do you think I should do? BTW this isn't a troll. It does sound pretty f*cking stupid though, I'm just asking your opinions. lol You're gonna Love it and it'll be a Great placeholder/time-filler 'til GTAV comes out. BullworthAcademy
You will not lose interest in GTA V. Skyrim is a very good game but GTA will be way bigger in map size and replayability.
Highgrade89NewAccount
I don't think so, skyrim is a piece of sh*t IMO. It depends wether you like dragons, wizards, giants and wired cat/elf thinks with pointy ears.

Davidx123
Skyrim is better then anything GTA can pull off, In my honest opinion. Skyrim is an fantasy epic in a game form, plain and simple. However, I don't think you'll lose interest. You'll finish skyrim a dozen time over while waiting for Spring 2013, so you'll have enugh time to get intrested again. AlienWillHeMonsta
I have the console GTA games, Oblivion, Skyrim and the Fallout games. They all have one thing in common...freedom to go anywhere and do anything. And because of this I have not bought any other game, not even LA Noire, Max Payne, Borderlands, Halo Call of Duty etc...none of them. The GTA games and Elderscroll games have a lot of reply value. Each time you play you discover something new or you want to try something else. At the moment my time is split between Skyrim and GTA IV, no other game gets played. Plus the DLC for Skyrim makes you want to try out other things and see how powerful you can become. There's always a challenge rather than being stuck on rails like some other games. Mefris
lose interest in GTA in general? I've been playing TES games for 16 years now and I can assure you that nothing will make you lose interest in GTA.They represent two different genres (TES Skyrim, mediocre representative of the RPG genre and GTA,top of the class in it's own category) so you can love them both without them being "jealous" of one another. There is one thing Oblivion, Skyrim & the 3D Fallout games have that GTA doesn't. A sh*t ton of bugs & glitches. Bah!Those are fine compared to Bethesda's earlier "masterpieces".Daggerfall has a glitch that breaks two or three of it's endings,Redguard is a unoptimized mess and Battlespire is unplayable (I'm not kidding. Two hours into the game and you will either give up or the game will give up for you.). wildstyle91
Its weird because after you play Skyrim, every other game feels empty, you can't interact with near as many things or pick things up. Skyrim is that good.

Algonquin Assassin
I think it's going to be the opposite. Once I play GTA V most games will probably feel hollow and dull. After GTA IV came out that's all I played for atleast 6 months. Since it's a while yet before the release of GTA V I don't see why it would, but be warned. Your interest in other games after GTA V will probably commit suicide. Edited November 24, 2012 by Miamivicecity

Vinova
I just bought Skyrim for my PC last night for £7, and copied the code in my Steam account. I must say, i'm loving it at the moment. I was skeptical because I'm a Fallout fan, but Skyrim is addictive. As for when GTA V comes out, you'll forget that Skyrim exsited!
