in gta 4 the introduction of the euphoria physics engine (ragdoll physics) was great but for me it was king of bad

let me tell you why In gta 4 whenever you got exploded by a rocket launcher Niko would launch in the air like a frisbi going sideways

whenever you got on a helicopter and fly to the top and get off the heli and fall down Niko looks like a crying baby shaking his legs and with his hands on the top of his head im just that it needs to improve Whose with me sorry for my english im in a hurry

Um, no.

And fix your spelling, please. It's awful.

Agreed. To be honest, I was kind of expecting a "sorry for my english plz" thing at the end.

The physics would improve slightly though. They weren't all that bad.

I always lol'd when I saw that "kicking legs" animation. Why not let him swirl his arms around, and before landing you'd see him trying to land with his hands first?

1. Ragdoll is NOT Euphoria.

2. Of course things will improve, GTA IV was the first time Rockstar used Euphoria.

3. They did a great job with Euphoria in GTA IV.

Yeah pretty much this.. and c'mon, I know it's not a given that everyone will have played RDR but let's face it YOU ALL SHOULD HAVE!

And the Euphoria even by the time RDR rolled around was massively overhauled and improved.

It's going to be AMAZING folks. Chill out.

If you read his post, you would know. And please, post more maturely in the future. Your post just sounds moronic.

When u get explodeded u need to blow to peeses cuz it is the realistic.

Your username is so very, very appropriate.

OT: Yes, I do think that the animation quality of the characters will increase. R* improved upon the euphoria engine greatly in RDR and furthered it's capabilities in Max Payne 3, I can only assume that they'll take what they've learned and improve upon it.

An interesting question to me is, will each character that you play as have his own separate set of animations so it'll feel different playing as Michael then Trevor or Franklin.

Was wondering the same thing. Has this been mentioned already?

the physics were near-perfect. the euphoria engine is revolutionary, and hands-down the best in the industry.

the things you just named were pre-scripted positions, the physics had nothing to do with it, until you hit the ground.

And YES, when your body is spinning at a high velocity after you die, your arms and legs will be spread wide.

The only problem I had with IV was that a lot of objects - including NPCs and Niko - were very light. After playing Red Dead Redemption though it seems that things have more weight to them, and in Max Payne 3 weight, animation, the use of euphoria (skeleton system) and just about everything was improved.

I have absolutely no worries about GTA V. You guys need to keep up, Rockstar has been doing great with the new engine.

THIS

People need to realize this, And they have improved a lot, Take a look at Max Payne 3

god..max payne 3..that game was so f*cking cool, the way people reacted to gunshots ( and the melee, that was really in your face sick tounge.gif) I'm hoping they bring that system to gta 5

OT I'm sure it will not be the same as in IV wink.gif

This is their second game ( of gta) on this console, so I'm thinking they naied it this time ( although I will miss standing on a taxi cab and blowing myself up and fly 30 feet in the air)

It will be improved, obviously. And yeah, I was a bit annoyed too when I saw how Niko's body flew like a starfish in the air, still lol'ed too

In the screenshot with Trevor and the burning truck, we see him holding the pistol in a military like fashion (down and to the side with both hands) so I'd assume Franklin and Michael would hold them in a more typical fashion.

NO.

It'd be a lot better if you could actually explain what you're trying to say; more than a simple "No." So I'm just going to assume you're being a retard, and that you're claiming they haven't been using a new engine.

GTA IV was on RAGE, RDR was on RAGE, and so was MP3. They were all on the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine. It was new to them in IV, and they improved on it's mechanics and using it in RDR and MP3. They have always been using a new engine; not the same one they used for Manhunt, or GTA SA - or any of those games.
