Bitches_Brew
does that include the water? BTW, could you elaborate on how you figured out those map measurements? did you measure each island or include the water also? I would say that includes the water. These map measurements were estimated by me when I ran in GTA IV and GTA SA each one kilometer. I have made lines into the map from the point where I started to go/run to the point where I have reached one kilometer. The result was that GTA IV is about half as big as GTA SA. And also another method is there are official made maps which are very big and detailed. The resolution of the official biggest and most detailed GTA SA map is 6000x6000 pixel while the map of GTA IV is about 6000x3800 pixel big which indicates that both games are similar scaled to each other. That is the result when I resize both maps to a length to each 450 pixels: how did you do it with RDR?
Andreas
Ok mate you dont seem to understand how massive RDR is compared to GTA IV, theres no way in hell its 7Sq miles I have read through tons of articles and many have said thats Read dead redemption is atleast 3x the size of GTA 4. No way that Red Dead Redemption is that big. The overall mapsize of RDR is 11-12 square miles compared to 13.9 square miles of the GTA SA map. Only 60% of the area from RDR is exploreable which are about 6-7 square miles big, so only slightly bigger than GTA IV Liberty City. Yeah, there are comparisons that show that RDR is allegedly twice as big as GTA San Andreas but that's dead wrong. @Bitches_Brew: I don't have a console which means I don't have Red Dead Redemption but look at RockStarNiko's comparison if you want to see how big RDR is compared to the other maps.
