theface
Apologies if this has been covered or this sort of thing isn't allowed on the forum. But thought I would post it up to be helpful. Thought it might be worthwhile to start a topic with the best pre-order deals so that non of us pay over the odds. I pre ordered today from Tesco using this deal posted up on hotukdeals. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/grand-thef...-points-1374089 Ends up being £30. C Js Afro
With Tesco do you pay the £30 up front or a deposit and the rest on collection?
TheMarkofZollo
Lol @ Garasand in that thread saying Black Ops 2 is better than GTA V, and that once you have played one GTA they are all the same. Irony much? I'm going to wait until a date is confirmed and see if there are any pre-order bonuses from different places (not because I want them to I just don't want to miss out if they do). Also wait until they have confirmed thier plans about PC I.E. if it will be released months later if at all. Can you guys recommend places to pre-order in UK, not just V exclusive? I have had real problems with different companies with the last few games I have pre-ordered. Cheers

wwinterj
Good deal but I'm sure it'll pop up again. I won't pre order until we get a release date. Spring 2013 isn't going to cut it for me. Still you can't go wrong at £30. I paid the same for Hitman, WWE 13 and Assassins Creed 3. HUKD is a awesome site.

hezzup8
Pre-order boxes that you take to the till? Yep, those are pre-order boxes. But for me it gives hope that games is coming... just few more months. But look at that purple banner, it says "Requires Kniect Sensor". It cannot be true. Just a mistake from the shopkeepper I'd say.
DarkLordSmurf
Nice deal! I have to pay about £57 for the game. It's expensive here in Denmark

Remix
Games sure are cheap overseas. EB Games has GTA V listed at $108 (although, the average smart person would price match for a cheaper price - roughly $80 is expected).
jamieleng
I just ordered it using that discount code. The total order has to be £40 or over, so I bought 'Dead Island GOTY Xbox' for £11 - Total price: £40.99. That game should eat away a couple of weeks of GTA V waiting time. Thanks OP
Alpha55
I saw the Tesco offer yesterday but spending £40 to save £10 is pointless to me. Sure might be alright if you shop at Tesco and actually spend that amount then it might be worth it but otherwise, nah. Would make the game £70, even the special edition for IV was only £75. I pre-ordered LA Noire (wish I hadn't) from HMV & it came 2 days before release date. I also have £5 put down for the PS3 version at my local 24hr Tesco, as a precautionary measure. What would make the game £70? The game costs £39.99 on the Tesco website. You have to add something to your basket take the price over £40 so that the £10 voucher works. The cheapest thing to add is a 47p aerial cable. Minus the discount this makes the total order £30.46 plus you get an an aerial cable that you may or may not need. Where have you got £70 from? EASTC0AST_GH05T
I preordered it from the official rockstar warehouse site and got the deal where you get free release day shipping and a free T-shirt for the retail price and it came up to 63.34. http://www.rockstarwarehouse.com/Category.aspx?c=GTAV . does that tesco site have free same release day shipping? Probably not if you live in America (not sure if they even deliver outside the UK). Also you use NTSC & we use the PAL system.
TheMarkofZollo
@EASTC0AST_GH05T, Most game sites over here (not sure what it is like in other countries) will send it for arrival on release day for free or with their standard free post if they have it. In fact they usually bump it up to a quicker delivery service to make sure it arrives in time, part of the pre-order deal but they cannot guarantee it. Apart from Zavvi and The Hut, they are both rubbish (same company), I had one pre-order with them and it came a full week after release, not happy!
