I dont see why this matters but I say 2. Most of the disk space is taken up by music. So I wouldnt be suprised if there was a cd to install the music and multiplayer and then a cd to actually play...

I thought 1 would be enough but now I say 2, One for single player and the other for multiplayer.

Hopefully GTA V does exactly what Halo 4 did and installs all content needed by the second (and maybe third) disk, eliminating the need to switch games mid-session.

Why one for SP and one for MP? They are the same files.

I'm hoping for 2, even though it's an unrealistic wish. It'll probably need 3 discs.

I don't like to backseat moderate.....But....Come on! There is like ten threads about this exact thing. USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION.

More than 5 seems like a logical number... catspider.gif

50 discs! nah, probably 2 or 3... The game won't be THAT huge... (Well, I don't think so)

1.

It is going to be 1.

EDIT: If Skyrim can be on 1 disk, GTA V will be on 1 disk as well.

I wouldn't say a whole disk for music as they will probably have fairly optimized tracks so you could get about 35 hours with 4GB of space. then the other half of the disk, 4GB could be used for the TV shows and other pre rendered media. Then the other disk for textures, voices, whatever is left.

I am still maintaining my belief that they'll find some way to fit it on the DVD-9. They'll have to drop the textures to all hell possibly but it'll fit.

I don't see how thats going to work if they are going to keep the quality between ps3 and 360 consistent, and from what we've seen from the trailer, they are going to be pretty high quality. it has got to be 2 disks.

Trailers are always high-quality, like i mean look at a trailer for game in like 2000-04 area and look at actual gameplay from that game, the difference in quality is very different.

Besides, we don't know how well they're gonna compress the game. Perfect example is Skyrim, MASSIVE game, hours, possibly days worth in dialogue and audio, but yet, only 3.9 gb?

lol.

I can personally assure you, GTA V will be on one disk.

Well, Skyrim has shown time and time again in benches to be a pretty balanced game graphically to CPU wise and it's not too intensive either vs some games. I think it's just a game that did well in that regard. Although some of the mods I've seen for it make it look like some next generation **** lol.

And if Rockstar doesn't want to, they don't have to keep it strictly the same looking. There are plenty of multiplat games that look pretty bad on one console or the other. Usually it's the PS3 that looks worse and almost always due to lazy coding.

I think it would be a better idea if the game is installed on the HDD so you only need 1 disk to play. This is what happens on the PC and it works well.
