Public Transport

Because of the sheer size of the map and countryside etc, I had a thought that might be possible.

 

Public transport to get to certain areas.

 

In GTA IV we could taxi it anywhere because they whole map was a city. But in GTA V going to the countryside, wilderness, desert etc. and this may not be an option.

 

I'm thinking it might work like this.

 

* Taxi = Anywhere in the city

* Bus = Bus routes all over the map (including country)

* Train = Train routes all over the map

* Ferry = May or may not be in the game but it could be a way to get to other ports and/or islands.

* Private taxis = Take you anywhere (maybe unlocked after beating taxi missions?)

 

 

I think GTA V could really expand in the public transport system. It may or may not happen, but would offer more diversity. Poll attached.

Would make more sense to have bus routes going round the city instead of countryside, considering rockstar have put all there efforts into 1 city rather than 3 half arsed cities its possible bus routes could happen.

All of this plus some sort of aircraft service, to justify the size of the map.

* Taxi = a bit harder to find in L.S , but can call them

* Bus = Special Route , No skip extremely cheap . Free after ???? mission (just Franklin - Lolwut)

* Train = SA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* Plane = another option to other island.

I think the trains should be like "rooms".. so we can walk from carrage to carrage etc. I would've used the subway system alot in IV had it been like that.

I don't think its that funny... gta4 had a small map and didn't need a big public transport list.. you had taxis and that was fine for that game.

 

It simply won't be fine for GTA5.

Grand Theft Auto V's trailer two featured taxi's, buses, and freight trains, so we can definitely confirmed those types of transport. I just wish for two things, and that is Los Angeles Metro Subway and Expo Line (Light-rail), if those are not included, then I be a little upset, but overall, Grand Theft Auto V will be the game of 2013 and the best open-world game I played since Grand Theft Auto IV!
