TenEightyOne
This is one of my favourites, I wrote it about a very bad time in my life. I'll let the song do the talking. For those who care, the events that are artistically licensed in this song took place at the northern end of the UK's Humber Bridge (at one time the largest single-span suspension bridge in the world, dontcha know). Listen now on SoundCloud. By The Bridge If you saw me by the bridge In the closing of the day... I couldn't see you 'cause The wind was in my eyes, Guess the fall was Just one word away. If you saw me in the fields In the closing of the day... I couldn't run to you Because my feet were red and raw. Guess the fall was just one word away. In the night I heard your voice... It said "You'll have to drop for you cannot fly". Once I dreamed I saw this place - This is where it ends So kill the lights. If you saw me in the sky In the dying of the day I couldn't hear you But I could see you were calling my name, Guess the fall was just that word away. In the night I heard your voice... It said "You'll have to drop for you cannot fly". Once I dreamed I saw this place - This is where it ends So kill the lights. In the night I heard your voice... It said "You'll have to drop for you cannot fly". Once I dreamed I saw this place - This is where it ends So kill the lights. Mokrie Dela
sh*t, thats pretty damned good (listening to the recording). Reading through the words does not do this justice. I read through and shrugged, thinking "it's alright, but not that many rhymes." But forget that, the song itself has a lot of character. The piano playing is very good, and the tune of the song is cool. Vocal performance is good, perhaps in need of a little more mixing (some of the 's's are a little too sharp, and at time the vocal track almost threatens to drop out, but i think that kind works with the style of song. As i said before, it's nice to see songs up here, and i liked this one too. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.
