Will GTA V be compatible with xbox720 and PS4?

Gta v is being released in 2013, and the new consoles may be coming the same year, so it would be logical to be able to play a new game on a new console... Maybe we would even see graphic improvements?

If i remember correctly, san andreas was compatible with xbox 360 so why not this time?

It depends on if next-gen consoles are supporting previous-gen games.

It all depends on if the console are backwards compatable. If they are, you can play current gen on next gen consoles.

Though you won't see any graphiccal improvements, maybe a higher fps. But a good chance that fps is still capped, so..

Only difference that is possible would be fps, IF you can play it at all on new generation of consoles.

Exactly. If there's backwards compatibility on the next-gen consoles, GTA V should run just fine on them. I doubt there would be any benefits to it, except maybe shorter load times, I'm not sure if that made any difference when playing last gen games on current gen hardware though.

Yeah, although even if it's capped it could still get less bogged down when there's a bunch of stuff going on at once, in theory, since the hardware will be better. However, GTA V will not be optimized for the next-gen hardware.

I think Rockstar could pump out next gen console versions of this game with better graphics and extra features (32 player online, replay feature etc), as well as a pc version and sell a gazillion copies over a long time. Backwards compatibily is not the only way.

If Playstation Orbis and XBox Durango have backwards-compatibility then it's possible to play games from PS3/X360 on them. It doesn't depend on GTA V but on the next-gen consoles.
