Node
I've got a budget of £500 - £600 I would like to see your suggestions on what I should buy. I'd like it to play Black ops 2\battlefiled 3 at max settings\Ultra and it should last me a couple of years (Should play the future games on high settings) This way I don't have to keep upgrading and I'm safe for a while. sivispacem
You may either have to increase your budget or decrease your requirements, imo AMD Ryzen 5900X (4.65GHz All-Core PBO2) | Gigabye X570S Pro | 32GB G-Skill Trident Z RGB 3600MHz CL16 EK-Quantum Reflection D5 | XSPC D5 PWM | TechN/Heatkiller Blocks | HardwareLabs GTS & GTX 360 Radiators Corsair AX750 | Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic XL | EVGA GeForce RTX2080 XC @2055MHz | Sabrant Rocket Plus 1TB Sabrant Rocket 2TB | Samsung 970 Evo 1TB | 2x ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q | Q Acoustics 2010i | Sabaj A4
Node
I've chosen these: •GPU - Asus GeForce GTX660 TI-DC2-2GD5 Nvidia Graphics Card (2GB, GDDR5, HDMI, DVI-I, DVI-D, Display Port, OpenGL 4.2, DirectX 11, Nvidia 3D Vision Surround Ready, PCI-Express 3.0) •CPU & Motherboard (Bundle) - Intel Core I5 3550 3.3Ghz - ASUS P8B75-M LE - 16GB DDR3 RAM 1333MHz Memory Bundle •PSU - ACE 750W BR PSU with 12cm Red Fan and PFC (I'm pretty sure I don't need this much power but oh well) Would this run BF3/Black ops 2/GTA IV on highest settings? friendly luggage
I would choose a better branded PSU such as Corsair, OCZ, Antec, Thermaltake, XFX etc. I also believe the amount of RAM you have is overkill and 8GB would be better. For the PSU wattage I wouldn't go below 550W in your case. 500W minimum.

Forget the stuff I posted before I've refreshed my memory and I have come up with this (Please tell me your thoughts): •GPU - Palit GeForce GTX 650 Ti Nvidia Graphics Card (1GB GDDR5, PCI Express 3.0, Mini HDMI, DVI, VGA, Kepler GPU Architecture, NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready) •CPU - Intel Core i7-2700K 3.5 GHz Quad Core Processor (Socket 1155, 8MB L3 Cache, HyperThreading Technology, Retail) • Motherboard - Gigabyte SKT-1155 Z77-D3H •PSU - OCZ 500W StealthXStream Power Supply Plus a SATA HDD and SATA writer with a new case, mouse, monitor and windows 7 64 bit. yoječ
Going for i7 in that budget doesn't make much sense (if any). Get a better video card instead and go for i5. I assume you will be overclocking the CPU, right? Also, the PSU you've chosen is a bit outdated. What store are you buying from?
friendly luggage
I would go with an i5 3570 instead of the i7. i7's are great but i5's have more than enough power for gaming. With the saved money go with the 660 Ti or 660.

Amazon, I just needed a decent gaming PC that can smoothly keep up with the latest games easily, I'm not a big 'Tech-Head' which is why I'd like advice. Jewstinian
You need at least a case and an optical drive before you choose those components. Are you looking for a moderately-cheap case or an all-out piece-of-crap 20 dollar case? Edited November 22, 2012 by TheJustinAllenK

Jewstinian
I've already got a case... I didn't see where you posted that... The video card is a hard decision. There are so many out there to choose from. Do you prefer GeForce or Radeon? Also, for a power supply, you're better off going modular. Modular means less clutter in cables, and less cables means more airflow which allows to keep your components cool which allows longer gametime. In short, you need a modular power supply. My personal favorite is the HX650, which sells for around £100. The CPU I've been recommending has been the i5-2500K. It's 4 quality cores, nice cache (around 6MB), and is over-clockable, which means if you have an aftermarket cooler, you can overclock it to >4GHz. It's been selling for around £165. Shoumaker
Like many said, ditch the i7 and go for a card like the GTX 670 if possible or the 7970 PCS +. Heres a link for the 7970 http://www.amazon.co.uk/RADEON-7970-PCS-3G...53673261&sr=8-5 And heres a link for the GTX 670 I actually had the PCS+ 7970 for a month and it Maxed GTA IV and Battlefield with ease in 1920x1080p res And since you are spending so much money on a system anyways, I think you can chip in a little more with what youre requesting. yoječ
Do not buy noname PSUs, unless you want to set your PC on fire. This one will do if you want to keep it cheap: http://www.amazon.co.uk/550w-Power-Supply-...3690225&sr=1-64 I'd also consider a better case, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/CS-NT-S210-B-Black-A...3690410&sr=1-32 That CPU + mobo bundle is total nonsense. i5 K CPU + mobo that doesn't allow overclocking... yeah. Change the mobo to MSI Z77A-G45 or something. Or, if you want it to be cheaper, i5-2500k + ASRock P67 Pro3. Or, if you won't be overclocking the CPU, i5-3470 + MSI B75A-G43. I wouldn't recommend you buying a noname HDD either. It'l be a viable decision to buy a proper hard disk, like ST500DM002 or WD5000AAKX.

Finn 7 five 11
Alright let's make this nice and simple because it's really Un-organised here right now, i'll make a list of all the parts and put the code below and you guys can then modify it to your liking, yes? They're all from Amazon UK, if you guys are making additions do it from there so as to keep prices uniform. By the way, I went to the liberty of finding the cheapest price for said part by combining Amazon and PC part picker, so please don't just give up and get a console, for future reference, Amazon is a pain in the ass for PC parts. Operating System Windows 7 64 Bit -£69.90 Video Card Gigabyte GTX 670 2Gigabyte. - £308.75A powerful card, very good choice indeed. CPU Intel i5 3570K£169.20 I picked the 3570K over the 2500K, just because it's a little newer and is priced about the same, their is not really any difference. HDD WD Caviar Blue 1TeraByte 7200RPM HDD. - £63.41 DVD Writer Sony AD-7280S-0B 24x Writer, - £17.29 Case Antec 300 - £51.97 I hear this case is absolutely brilliant hence why i put it here, if you want to save £19 pounds go with the NZXT Yoyo suggested. PSU XFX Pro 550w Power Supply Unit - £46.99 This is the PSU yoyo recommended, he knows his stuff with that. RAM or Memory Kingston 1 x 4 GB (Buy two sets of Ram) - £15.49 per Ram module or - £30.98 MOBO Asrock Extreme 4 Z77 Motherboard. - £109.87 The Extreme 6 is pointless, this does everything it does, alternatively on special for £8 less the Fatal1ty is a great choice which has more of everything except it lacks a DVI port for some reason which could be problematic if your current monitor doesn't have HDMI. Do you need a monitor? You did not mention it. I think that's everything. Total price comes to: £797.56 For a powerful build capable of your needs. And the code minus the color because it gets confusing with 30 color tags haha - for anyone who wants to edit the build, just interchange the parts, the corresponding link to the part is underneath the underlined header Operating SystemWindows 7 64 Bit -£69.90Video CardGigabyte GTX 670 2Gigabyte.
