Only soccer mums and little kids buy that piece of sh*t consoles. The mums only play dance and barbie games and the kids aren't old enough to play GTA. Even if everyone on PC would pirate the game, it would be a better market for rockstar than the sh*tty WiiU market.

Plenty of people bought the Wii, myself included, and plenty of different types of people will buy the Wii U. Whether GTA:V'll happen is another matter, it depends on what kind of market the Wii U ends up capturing, and how much of it. Rockstar will likely wait and see.

That person seems to make a lot of those comments

For those moaning about the Wii U you have to remember it isn't even out in the EU (Well at least the UK) until the 30th of November so can't judge it's success at all at the moment.

wasn't appealing to a newer generation of gamers? Probably.

that !

those ...only like something repetitive but can be approach in different way. like ...that game , pretty repetitive - but some customization make the different , and how you play blablablablalbalbalbalablablablablallablab .... key "repetitive with variety to face em"

So, will Nintendo finally pull a SEGA and stop pushing out useless iterations of outdated hardware (Gamecube, Wii, WiiU) every year or so (NDS/NDSL/NDSi/NDSiXL/NDS3/NDS3iXLXPBBQ) and instead focus on making software only? I know we all can't wait to finally see Zelda 43, Mario 69 and Pokemon 127. Oh and Wario 26, Kirby 19 and all the other great, great sequels that ALWAYS surpass everything ever done by anyone before. They're such creative geniuses.

The reality distortion field around Nintendo is on par with Apple's.

I've been playing Nintendo games since the NES, the N64 is my 2nd favorite console of all time (DC is #1). But they have been in a downward spiral ever since the Gamecube. Then came the little kid/old people console Wii which expanded the audience to Kindergarten and old folks homes. Now they're desperately trying to grab some of the tablet market but that won't make any difference either. Nintendo will be going the way of SEGA soon.

On topic: From what we've been told it seems they haven't quite decided yet and will probably wait and see, however it seems unlikely because

a) of what Zelnick said a while ago (no more adult games on Nintendo hardware)

b) they had WiiU devkits for a while and since they're not giving a definite "yes" to the WiiU yet I'm assuming the hardware didn't impress them too much and/or isn't easy to code/port for

c) if they were seriously considering getting V on WiiU they'd have talked to Nintendo and made a deal about announcing V on WiiU before the console launched in order to secure more sales

People said Chinatown Wars will do well on the Nintendo DS when it had an installed base of nearly 100 million at the time. It sold 70,000 units in the first month, and essentially failed to sell on that platform. Although I think what happened there was that the kind of people who would want to play GTA and own a DS got it pirated because it was already so easy at the time.

Still, was very surprising. Maybe the top-down perspective wasn't appealing to a newer generation of gamers? Probably.

So it should be interesting to see if GTA comes back to Nintendo. I think Rockstar will wait and see how many units are actually pushed before they make that developmental and business decision. They're likely to focus their efforts more on the PC version.

Yeah, right, Adriaan. You always right. That's my homie. Mr. Right.

Thats a joke.

Nintendo constantly refuses to release its content onto other platforms, so I am glad they are getting the same treatment.

Maybe if they'd stop being such douches, and start leasing rights to some of their biggest series, to get us some new current-gen games (Pokemon, Mario, Smash Brothers, Etc), then the industry might be more interested in sharing some of it's games.

Wait, what? GCN was technologically superior to the PS2.

Anyway, the notion that Nintendo doesn't want mature games on their consoles is outdated. They haven't been censoring games since late 90s.

It was actually on par with the xbox. Problem is, people gave it a stigma of "kiddy" which led to developers only making "kiddy" games, which further led to more people thinking it was "kiddy".

The fact is, the hardware is never truly "kiddy" nor does Nintendo market it as such. Every generation, Nintendo tries to push their hardware to the "core" gamer, but every generation, the "kiddy" stigma kicks in because people do not understand that they are wrong about the company.

The truth of the matter is that Xbox and Playstation are as, if not more, "kiddy" than Nintendo consoles ever are. All of them have tons of casual games, but because the Xboxs and Playstations have more games overall, there is a higher proportion of games for younger children on them. Of course, there are also a higher proportion of super mature games too. What you don't see on them is the games for the middle of the crowd. Nintendo always has a nice balance of games for all demographics.

The only way Nintendo drops the stigma is if people let them. If people start buying the 3rd party games on Nintendo, the 3rd parties will see there isn't a stigma associated with developing on Nintendo, and better games will come out. There is no reason for the stigma except that there already is a stigma. (Kinda like eating bugs.)

@motorider420: Should Microsoft put Halo on other consoles? Should Sony put God of War on other consoles? Your argument is invalid.

The Wii U is gonna become irrelevant in the months following. When people realise how overrated the thing is, they'll convert back to their PS3, 360, or PC. Still can't believe that Nintendrones say the definitive version of every game will be on the Wii U.

Watch the wii u struggle when the real next gen consoles hit the market.

That won't be for a Year, Two years maximum overall.

Of course it will struggle due to the spec's won't be able to go against when ever MS & Sony decide to go for the next gen.

But remember apart from Sony with the Eye Toy, Nintendo made motion controls very popular which made MS make Kinect and Sony Move for those consoles.

It shouldn't happen, GTA isn't meant to be in Wii U, it would just be wrong, shooting around, stealing cars, giving cops the bird, on a Wii? Hell no.

the wii u is supposedly "next gen" yet it barely catches up to ps3 and xbox. wii u wont be able to run gta 5 without bad frame rate and bad graphics.

Yeah, right, Adriaan. You always right. That's my homie. Mr. Right.

f*ck you, Ryder!

You can't stop me.

Who can't.

By the way TheJustinAllenK made a mistake. He said 'F*ck you Ryder' but CJ said 'Shut up'. That 'F*ck you Ryder' was from the mission 'Reuniting The Families' and that 'Shut up' was from the mission where you had to steal some crates from that old military guy who has friends from the police and you had a conversation with Ryder while you were driving to the house of that military guy.

OT: I wonder what will come out of this. Since the Take-Two CEO said that he's sceptical if it comes to core-titles for the Wii U and that it won't change anytime soon and this months ago, I wonder if he will change his point-of-view but I doubt it to be honest.

Nintendo seems to only put family games out for their devices. Hence why I've never owned one of their products.

If the cash is there, it will come. It has nothing to do with whether or not R* want it to be on the console for personal reasons, it's all about the cash.

The Gamecube had decent hardware but Nintendo was so far up its own arse that it thought the 1gb mini-disc was superior to a 4gb DVD. Plus the exterior design of the Cube was flimsy. I broke the lid switch so many times just by opening it. Then came the software, or lack it.

The promise to open up more to third party developers never came and after the brilliant Rogue Squadron came the stupid kiddy cell shaded Legend of Zelda Windwalker. That was the end of Nintendo for me and along came Xbox and the GTAIII and Vice city double pack. A whole new world was open to me.

Nintendo can shove it where the sun dont shine.

Oh yeah, totally... Again I get to post this list, because of ignorant comments like this... (from http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtop...st&p=1061196876 )

Nintendo doesn't publish the 3rd party games on its consoles. Just like Sony doesn't publish the 3rd party games on the PS3 and Microsoft doesn't publish the 3rd party games on the 360.

And just a look back on the history of games published on Nintendo console shows how much you are just being biased against Nintendo. All of the following games are rated M in the North American territory:

Bio F.R.E.A.K.S., Mortal Kombat 2, Mortal Kombat 3, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Mortal Kombat 4, and Doom on Super Nintendo (Note: At the time, all had to be heavily censored to be on Nintendo consoles, this is no longer the case)

Carmageddon N64, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Daikatana 64, Doom 64, Duke N64, ECW: Hardcore Revolution, Forsaken, Hexen, Mace The Dark Age, Mortal Kombat Mythologies, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Nightmare Creatures, Perfect Dark, Quake, Quake II N64, South Park, South Park Rally, South Park: Chef's luv Shack, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Turok 2, Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion, Turok: Rage Wars, and War Gods for N64 (Note: Conker's BFD and Perfect Dark were both 2nd party games)

Bad Boys Miami Takedown, Blood Rayne, BMX XXX, Celebrity Deathmatch, Dead To Rights, Def Jam Fight for NY, Die Hard: Vendetta, Enclave, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, Geist, Gun, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hunter: The Reckoning, Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death, Killer 7, Knights of the Temple, Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter, Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes, Midway Arcade Treasures 2, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat: Deception, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Red Faction 2, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 Nemesis, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, Resident Evil Zero, Road Kill, Robocop, Rogue Ops, Serious Sam, Spartan: Total Warrior, Spawn, The Suffering, TimeSplitters Future Perfect, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lockdown, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, True Crime: New York City, True Crime: Streets of L.A., Turok: Evolution, and XIII for GameCube (Note: Eternal Darkness and Geist are both first party games)

Alone In The Dark, Brothers In Arms Earned in Blood, Brothers In Arms Road to Hill 30, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition, Call of Duty: World at War, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Hard Evidence, CSI: Deadly Intent, CSI: Fatal Conspiracy, Cursed Mountain, Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop, Dead Space Extraction, Driver: Parallel Lines, Escape from Bug Island, Far Cry Vengeance, JU-ON: The Grudge, MadWorld, Manhunt 2, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Obscure: The Aftermath, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil, Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, Scarface, Sexy Poker, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Sniper Elite, Splatterhouse 2, Target: Terror, Tenchu: Shadow Assassins, The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return, The House of the Dead: Overkill, and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent for Wii (Note: More games are coming for this console still) (Note: Manhunt 2 is a Rockstar Game)

And even on the handhelds:

Mortal Kombat 3 and Southpark for GameBoy

None for GameBoy Color (Note: GTA 1 and 2 were on the GBC, but rated T)

Dual Blades, Grand Theft Auto Advance, Max Payne Advance, Mortal Kombat Advance, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition, Payback, Serious Sam Advance, and Wolfenstein 3D for GameBoy Advance (Note: Grand Theft Auto and Max Payne are both Rockstar Games)

C.O.R.E., Crime Scene, Dementium II, Dementium: The Ward, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, Resident Evil Deadly Silence, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, theresia, Touch the Dead, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat for DS (Note: More games are coming for this console still) (Note: GTA:CtW is a Rockstar Game)

Driver Renegade, Jaws Ultimate Predator, Metal Gear Solid 3D, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, and Resident Evil Revelations for 3DS (Note: More games are coming for this console still)

And since that post, we now have multiple M rated games on the Wii U that I hadn't listed. (Oh lookie there, 4 games from Nintendo or one of their internal studios that are rated M...hummmm... monocle.gif )

Not hating on Nintendo but they seem to have IMO made a mistake.

While the Wii U is on par with if not a tad ahead of the other consoles this gen…it’s basically a current Gen console, released way to late into the game since the next Generation is pretty much around the corner, 2014-2015 at the latest is when I see the new Sony and Microsoft consoles hitting the shelves since there’ve been rumors about both. Basically playing catch up from the Wii. Which really only had motion controlls going for it and while it sold like hot cakes at first from what I've seen it's gone down in popularity.

So basically Nintendo pulled the same mistake twice release a new system that’s out dated in someway to test some New Gimmick first the Wii’s motion controls, now touch screens.

I feel sorry for them as there are some interesting bits on the Wii U but I think it would have been smarted to have held it off for a few years, floating on the Handheld revenue, and then made the Wii U next Gen capable and released it in the 2014-2015 time frame.

Though I'm no expert on it, that's just what I've put together from various sources.

And like the list jnzooger it isn't a lack of mature games coming out either, hell there are M rated Wii U launch titles out and such. Personally I'm somewhat intrested to see what the Wii U can do it's a bit early, and I may pick one up when they get cheaper. (Unlike the Wii the Wii U intrests me a bit and there's allready a few games on there I'd like to play.)

Now anyways now that I've said that piece, Rockstar said they don't have plans as of yet but I guess if they see a profit to be made by making a Wii U V they might do it, I don't see why not. Though I'd assume they'd be relucant, GTA Advanced and Chinatown wars both didn't do to good, and while there are reasons there, I think they'd be somewhat relucant since they've never goten any where on a Nintendo system before.

Personally I'd be intresting to see how they implement that touch screen controller, maybe something to change protagonists, weapons, maybe optional minigames like Hotwireing cars or what ever, just little things that Rockstar can try out to see if they'd like to keep devloping for the system at all in the future.
