Fines

Do you guys and girls think that the police will give you a fine instead of being busted for everything you do, maybe thats why Rockstar is still working on the wanted system.

Nobody knows at this stage, but I'd like if they used a system similar to MCLA.

If you broke the law, you'd have around 10 seconds to pull over. If you pull over, you can see a camera from the cop window, and a cop approaches your window. Then you've got two choices

a. Stay put and take the ticket

b. Slam down the accelerator and evade the cops.

I'd like to see fines combined with being arrested. The more crimes you commit, the more you'd have to pay when busted.

These won't really work for any existing criminal offenses in GTA...

I mean, you can't really get a fine for running someone over tounge.gif. So if they're going to implement a fine system in V, it's going to be additive in that you'll get fines for things like running a red light.... essentially traffic fines here. Don't think fans would appreciate lousy little offenses. GTA have always been about arrest worthy crimes.

We always had to pay fines in GTA, we lose money when we are busted, remember?

That's not what the OP was talking about. He meant getting pulled over and getting a fine.

fines should only work for 1-star wanted level! ...it works like that in Test Drive Unlimited, first you get "warning" from police patrols, but another violation will make them fine you! i think the overall wanted level system should be reworked by R*, they should add two more wanted levels, first would get us - just a warning and should be obtained only if we violated some rule or some other not big thing, second would make us fined by police patrol and won't be any different by deed as first one, just repetitive act! but beginning from third it should be like its always been in any GTA game...killing a person would immediately get us third wanted level and police would act like they did in previous games!

I would love to have this!

I only want to be chased for arrestable fines...

This is not something I'd like. I think the wanted system is fine the way it is... I would like the cops to be a little bit stonger. I think they were just too easy to lose in IV.

Hell no, if it were to be realistic fines of like $100 and we players would have a balance of like $500,000 then that would be pointless. They can do two things, make it EXTREMELY hard to get money, or make the fines an un-realistic amount of money so that it actually hurts to get fined.

Yeah, that's true, what's fun in GTA is to be able to do things you can't necessarly do in real life... Having fines... Anyone can do that lol.

They said after the demo that speeding can get you a star. So it is possible that fines exist. Pointless later on maybe. but what it seems the way the story goes is that these guys are broke. and they wanna get back into the game. Mikes wife is taken all of his money. Frank is working a day job. Trevors a meth pusher. and from what it seems like bussiness is not a float. hes killing people around his turf just to get back control.

Something like Mafia II? i remember that when we were wanted the police forced the protag on your knees and then the protag gave them the money and we were free (Stupid English is Stupid)

agreed.

fines alone wouldnt make much sense, because even stealing a car is arrest-worthy.

Why the f*ck are people still asking for traffic laws? For f*ck's sake, I don't want to be pulled over everytime I swerve or hit another car or go over the speed limit. If it's about something to spend money on, guns and vehicles. There. Just put in an absolutely massive variety of guns and vehicles, some of which can't be acquired through theft, and there we have it. There's no reason to have me pulling over every 5 f*cking seconds or using the wanted down cheat every damn time I drive in the wrong lane.

I liked the wanted system in Mafia II.So,if R* uses Mafia II kinda wanted system with some little tweaks, that would be cool

If you are a true GTA fan, you never let cops catch you. GTA live the life of a criminal which calls for hiding in the alley, f**king in the alley, and did I mention killing in the alley. In GTA the alley is your home, stick to it and you will be the best criminal ever. Anyone f**ks with your alley or as much as walks past it without crossing the street first are dead meat. Here you are talking about letting cops catch you, come on guy don't let this game get into your head, it is not real life.

They should use fines for one star offences. It was annoying being one your way somewhere and accidently knocking into a police car and having them chase you an leaving whatever you were doing to lose them. If you pull over you should be issued a fine an carry on with no wanted level. But if you want to take off you still can. Also things like punching someone and not realizing the police are behind you then getting a gun in your back and taking a bullet as you run off could be dealt with using a fine.
