I didn't wan't to admit it to myself but finally I must say I think its true-I was more excited after the 1st trailer then I am now... I still think this game will be awesome but maybe my expectations were too high. Maybe its because I was hoping Tommy Vercetti would be Michael. Or because I'm not sure how much I'm gonna like Trevor and Franklin's personalities. Maybe its because I was hoping CJ would make a return in someway. No car customization mention or property buying? Maybe its because this game looks like its staying more on the serious note when I was hoping it would go back to being like the old GTA's...Realism isn't always necessarily more fun. Maybe its because I thought Los Santos was gonna be the size of RDR, GTA IV and SA combined but it turns out the city itself in V is just gonna be the size of GTA IV... But still, I am very excited for this game. I am going to like it either way. Sorry for complaining... Anyway, it'll have more of a fun factor than GTA IV did, so no need to worry there. The other things are really your own mistake for thinking to much about it and having unrealistic expections. It would be an immersion killer for me if GTA V were to include the default, skinny, and tank top wearing CJ instead of my fat and rich CJ. I lost a bit too but just at 3 protags and no mention of car customization or house buying or detailed clothes customization. Other than that though I couldn't be happier with the world I hear about so far. The city in 4 is massive, bigger than it needs to be and if it has that and country side they did it the best possible way they could. I'm only stating how I feel, sh*t. People are expressing their opinions on your opinion. So it goes both ways. Some of the things you're disappointed about arent new. We've known since IV was coming out that no old characters would return. Its not some of kind of surprising "out of nowhere" news As for the size, Liberty City was great, and imagining that plus desert, farmland, and mountain areas... its gonna be fantastic. Did people just deliberately go from GTA SA to GTA V, completely forgetting how no characters from the 3rd era was in GTA IV either? As this is early stages, and we have only heard the very basics of the game, with many unanswered questions, it certainly is too early to tell how you'll ultimately feel about this game. They're definitely going to reveal more as we move closer to release, but, there will also be other things that they leave out so that it is a surprise. To members who made rude replies: You've all been reminded. If you don't have something worthwhile to say (as in this example, how you feel now following the previews) no need to post something negative towards the member. MrNago Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 I think Rockstar always brings outstanding GTAs. It may not suit your dream GTA game, but I try to "get in the mood" of each one. Certainly GTA 2 wasn't the best one but, at the time, it was amazing. GTA3 also was unique on its own way. And so on... I'm sure V will be awesome, but you have to adapt to it. Each one is different. It was amusing to read the previews and see Trailer 2, but I feel like I was so hungry for info and now I have a full belly, so I'm pretty satisfied. I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since the GI article! I remember the 5 days leading up to the article felt more like 2 weeks... It's almost Christmas already, and by the time that dies down, it'll be Jan-Feb, just around the corner from the game... I'm really losing the drive to get back on the forums and get all obsessed about the game anymore. I think I'm almost ready to jump ship and come back when the game's out or we get something more substantial like a release date/website reveal. I think I lost interest partly because I read about the same thing about 20 different times. Seriously, if somebody mentions repelling down a building one more time .... or pooping on the toilet.... I can see where your disappointed comes from. The only issue is R* has never been about bringing up old stuff. After san andreas that was it. You saw a couple cameos and backstory and then gta 4 came about which started a new beginning for the series. i for one am excited to see this story unravel. And will be visiting the johnson house. I think no property buying or lack of car customization isn't too bad, and the city shouldn't be too big. I like the LC sized city with towns around the countryside.
