Why spend your hard earned money on something that's free is the real question here? I just don't pirate GTA because it's more difficult to pirate console games and I have a lot of respect for R*. Everything else is fair game though to bluntly logical and honest. I still don't really pirate. well, a lot of devs spent there time working hard on a project for years, that is why we should spend our hard earned money on it, its equal and fair. I would like to agree, but sadly I don't. With the same logic, that's the same as saying "GTA fans love our releases. We should keep making them happy and keep the franchise alive." OK yes, to some extent, that matters. But the main and obligatory reason...well, you know it. That said, coming from someone who has pirated maybe 90% of all PC games played, Valve's Steam has increased my expenses by a fair amount. I doubt Im alone. Sure, many PC gamers dont deserve unreleased games, but many, many of us truly do. Edit: I'm not saying they shouldn't release it on PC! I actually think they will, like the rest of GTA. They have delayed a lot games in the past for PC because most games were ports from the consoles. First you need to finish developing a game on consoles to start porting it to PC. Max Payne 3 for example was developed simultaneously and seperatly for each platform which was the reason why the game wasn't delayed by a half year but only by two weeks. The purpose was to make pc gamers realise if they keep pirating games the less chance big games like gta v will be marketed there. Example is rdr Red Dead Redemption costed about 80-100 million dollar in the development and it was a western-game so this might influence in this case but the big point here is that RDR was developed by Rockstar San Diego, a studio whose last game for PC was Midnight Club II in 2003 so 9 years ago now. GTA V is developed by Rockstar North and most GTAs were released on PC except the handheld ones. No you dont deserve the punishment, people like you deserve to play gta v. All I know is that it's easier to pirate a PC game then console, and the punishment for console piracy is more direct (as far as I know, again, I'm not a master with this stuff). Overall the console market is bigger than the PC market, thats the bottom line as to why PC versions are typically released later. More bottom-line profit in the console market. Haha, yeah right... Games for X360 usually get leaked like a week before it gets released and all you have to do is burn and play... For PC, you actually need a crack for it to work.. There are hundreds of hard working human beings at R* north that are working their asses off for 4 to 5 years to bring you a product that most of you want and are going to enjoy for hours on end. Damn right R* deserves your f*cking 60 dollars. You have to earn the right to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Is it not logical and reasonable to be fair?
