Will You Use The GPS On The HUD?

No GPS.  EVER.  Takes away the fun of getting to know your way around the map.

I don't agree, I think that it helps to know your way in the map.

You get into the map, you don't know anything. The GPS shows you the routes you can take to don't miss a bridge or whatever.

I always used GPS in IV, and I know the maps very well, the GPS is only a tool.

Some tools breed dependence for some people, as GPS often does in real life (I have some friends that can't get around their own home towns without it).

 

As for GTA, I still use the map as a regular reference (especially the first couple playthroughs). It's like going on a road trip. Sure, you can use a GPS, but isn't it more fun and engaging to navigate for yourself as you go along?

It is, but I can do that even if the GPS is enabled... Actually, it depends on people... I don't need GPS to get around in the map in IV... I know some people do need to get around because they just look at it and they don't even check in front of them. But I can say that my experience is pretty much the same with or without it.

I think people are getting the HUD map and GPS confused!

 

I learnt the iv map quite quickly after I unlocked it all and can find my way around without using the GPS. I keep the map on so I can see any activities ad stuff like that are around to do but I could get the mission objectives and icons without it.

The only reason I used the GPS was if I wanted to get somewhere quickly and even then if take my on route if I knew it was quicker.

 

That's why I voted undecided, because I'm just worried about how big the map is, I think I'll have to use it for a while because it will take a lot of getting used to!

I will use it, but only to make sure i'm going in the correct general direction. I like to make my own way, but know i'm going in the correct direction.
