Which console will have better graphics ?

Fast forward to 2012.. it's the same sh*t... both consoles do the same exact thing, so those fanboys bragging about the PS3 back in 2006 were wrong.

I agree it looks a lot better if you put them side by side maxed out. However, if you take hardware into consideration, I think they made the right choice. It's unfair to compare a PC game to a ps3 game graphically if they don't take hardware into consideration. And whether you like or do not like consoles/Uncharted, you have to admit, it's a damn fine looking game, especially given the limitations it had to work with. But anyway, not trying to start an argument, both consoles generally look exactly the same, but come on lol

If you would have asked this question before the release of Max Payne 3 then I clearly would have said that GTA V will look better on XBox 360 than on Playstation 3 since it was like this with GTA IV because Rockstar Games had more experience with the engine on the Microsoft console which was one year before the PS3 released. Sony's developer console wasn't really good organized what I have heard and that was the reason why GTA IV had sometimes some big differences between PS3 and X360, so in other words, GTA IV looked on XBox 360 better than on Playstation 3. But with Max Payne 3, Rockstar showed how far they went with optimizing the engine. The differences of the game on the Sony and Microsft console is each only marginal. The X360 version represent light sources a bit farther but it's not a significant difference. GTA V's demo was shown on a Playstation 3 unlike the ones of GTA IV and Max Payne 3 since they looked on the other console a bit better and normally developers want to show their games from the best side. I think that since the demo was shown on a different platform than in the past games that Rockstar has improved the engine so far that there aren't any differences between each console and even if there is a difference it will be nevertheless more improved than Max Payne 3! Max Payne 3 was developed seperatly for each platform and the same goes now with Grand Theft Auto V. Good, what did I vote in the poll? CPU:Custom IBM Power-PC Based

Three symmetrical cores running at 3.2 GHz each

GPU:Custom ATI GPU 500MHz

512 MB GDDR3 RAM

 

PS3

CPU:PowerPC-base Core @3.2GHz ,which is pretty much the same as the one the Xbox uses.

GPU: RSX @550MHz

256MB XDR Main RAM @3.2GHz(main system RAM)

256MB GDDR3 VRAM @700MHz(for graphics)

You are forgetting that PS3 has 8 cores.

CPU: PS3>360

No it doesn't , it has 8 SPE's which are a whole different thing,not to mention that the only 8 core CPU is the AMD FX-8150 that came out last year.

You are pretty dumb... They don't put screens from the competitors, they put screens of GTAV. It doesn't matter on wich console it has been created. Since they are the only screens that really exist for now.

Yeah, but, the game itselft, nobody cares. Like I said, people mostly buy their console for exclusive content. I'm not one of them. But, most of people do. Of curse it could have a certain impact, but, PS3 and XBOX 360 have some so much similar graphics, that it is most of times very hard to see the difference. So that's why, having screens that would have been made from a different console is not really having an impact.

That is mostly like this because multi-platform games often are developed for XBox 360 and then ported to Playstation 3 and PC. GTA V is developed seperatly for each platform which means GTA V will most likely look like what each platform can offer. The game will use all the power that every platform has. It will use 100% of the hardware from the X360 and PS3 and ist will most likely run on a great variety of PCs so that older PCs can run the game and High-End PCs will be "milked" by GTA V.

Yes, they don't have a choice, Rockstar sent them some screens, they can't just refuse to publish it because it's the PS3 version, there is no buttons on the screenshots to indicate it's the PS3 version, so it didn't matter, why can't people just be unbiased for a second? This is the first time a Rockstar game was shown/demoed to the press on PS3, why are 360 players so butthurt and can't admit it? I don't remember PS3 owners crying because the 360 version was always shown back in the day, now that it's the other way around some Xbox fanboys are trying to find the silliest excuses to not admit it's the PS3 version, it have been confirmed a million times already, the demo every site got to play was on PS3 and the screens are from the demo, why can't people just admit it? For GTAIV and Max Payne 3, they chose xbox to demo to the press. For GTAV, it's PS3. There's your answer.
