Supercrammer
They removed the feeding feature in San Andreas because it didnt really serve a purpose and was a pain in the ass. If feeding your CJ is a pain, refueling a car is a bigger pain that serves no purpose as well.
Revolution-XW
I would like it to be optional, everybody is happy. If its on, maybe a 20% bonus This. I like RPG'ing sometimes, why not?
Racecarlock
Only if I can completely disable it with a menu option and don't lose anything for doing so. See, this is very clearly a niche feature designed to placate role playing fans, and while that's great it screws over everyone who doesn't like real world style role playing. So at the very least I should be able to turn it off completely and not worry about fuel as I'm racing through the desert in my super car. To be honest, the way these games have been setup, if you don't roleplay, most players won't possess a car long enough for the gas feature to be a factor anyway. So I don't see how that is a problem for non-roleplayers. This being said without figuring how often you would need to refuel and how many opportunities we will have to refuel ie lots of gas stations or mobile gas canisters. I say, trust in Rockstar to make this last game for the current gen, memorable and done right because gas or not, I'm playing and not complaining. Well, I'm a guy who gets attached to his sports cars. Yes, I love me some nice exotic and sports cars. I like to drive them for at least an hour at a time. And I really don't want to have to constantly stop for gas while doing so. I don't care if it's every 40 hours or anything, it's still forced on people who want to keep a car. Optional is best because then everyone gets what they want anyways. Nobody loses. Agree?

Let those who want to stand at a gas pump do so, but I sure as hell ain't stopping for fuel. samuelljacksone
Should stay limited to mods IMO, The petrol mods SUITS BEST LCPDFR (GTAIV) and eventually LSPDFR (GTAV)
Shadowfox_
It should be optional because I don't wanna be driving in the middle of no where, with no civilization in sight or cars. Then have my car die out on me because the fuel ran out and have to walk for a few irritating minutes to a road. Then have to wait for a sh*tty ass car that has a max speed of 20mph
OfficialTwiggz
To people saying you'll be in the middle of nowhere; that will never happen. How about this? After every mission completed, your gas automatically refills. And obviously it's not real life, so it's not real money. You're still playing GTA. Money is a big factor in this game, we need something to spend it on. I vote yes. A thousand times yes.

Gas is one of those boring real life things you have to budget money for, not a big fun time fantasy thing you could only dream of owning. I'd rather have the big fantasy things available to buy, especially since I'm having a fantasy, not playing The Sims.
Jades007
I think you should be able to turn it off and on and not have to refill to often, or even set how many game hours of driving in that car you have to do for the tank to go empty

I guess with putting in so many hours into IV, I can't imagine spending money on anything. If vehicle purchases and drug options are in the game. Ehhhh. Signal1
Optional is best because then everyone gets what they want anyways. Nobody loses. Agree? Absolutely. Anyone who does not want this can simply activate the "no refuel cheat" As per all other threads I would like this in the game. Have to wait and see. It was more like an Action Movie and its completely opposite to what we are talking about, I think that changing GAMEPLAY options from menus is utter stupid and shouldn't happen in the GTA Series, Games like SR let you do anything from the pause menus but this is GTA. gta5freemode4eva
I would like it to be optional, everybody is happy. If its on, maybe a 20% bonus lol i get the feeling you've seen the OTHER thread on this Have it as an option yes, everyone is happy then. I would like it in the game but only if the petrol we put in lasted a LONG LONG time. Filling a car up constantly = pain in the ass Hardly ever filling up = pointless Jumping in a car while being chased and it only has 3% petrol left = panic + new thoughts of how to escape = joy Adds to the game I think. Off topic but bare with me - it kind of adds to the surprise in the same way that having different performance modded vehicles around... both of these cars are Schafters Schafter A has basic everything Schafter B has Tier 2 (out of 3) Tyres and brakes etc Adds to diversity This and Petrol = a game that never feels old and samey

I just remember having millions of dollars due to no economy in which to spend cash it on. Plus R* is good for one annoying task per game and with $$ being a major player in this version of the game, I can see some real world $$ mechanics in this one that will piss some players off. Not me though Edited December 8, 2012 by Supacoupe

Adds to diversity This and Petrol = a game that never feels old and samey Agree 100%. Also adds to GTA V's theme of planing and preperation as well as the fun and vibrant economy. Unlimited fuel is old and tired. Who wants to drive around in the same old boring car with unlimited fuel? How boring. GTA V will have the most vehicles ever hopefully each with their own fuel economy. Makes for more decisions. Those that take risks and leave the fuel running low and those who plan ahead and always keep the tank full. Offer two different style of play. Guess we will have to wait and see. It makes perfect sense with the direction of GTA V with the economy and all, though so did owning buisness and property. Time will tell...
