Racecarlock
I think it is a cool idea and a nice feature but the way I drive sometimes im switching cars every 5 blocks anyways because its either crashed to hell or there is blood splattered all over it But when role playing it is a nice thing and will make you think when driving down them lone desert highways... Because that's what I want to do when I'm driving fast down a highway, worry about friggin' gas. And what about all the times your not role playing? I don't role play, so why should I still have to deal with this? Should we also have to worry about whether or not the bills have been payed and if mom dropped the kids off at soccer practice? Exactly. How boring to drive the same car around all the time. GTA V is going to have so many cars why would you bother with just one. Fuel would be no different from using the car wash. Its there. Use it if you want. If you dont want to use it then find a way round it. Better yet use a pushbike! Seems there are a lot of people into this idea. Lets hope R* have added it. Lets face it, it would be one way to add to the fun and vibrant economy. Im sure if this is added you would be able to do many highway runs before you had to fuel up. I do not see a big problem here. Imagine the cost of having to refuel an 18 wheeler!!! Awsome.
BlademanX
Waste of time. lol .. I rather blow up the gas station. I use one in real life why the hell would i want to use one in the game????? Reiji
No, it's annoying. I don't expect a 7 year old kid that shouldn't play GTA to drive stick in-game either.

Why should I sacrifice and change my play style? So you can marvel at all the realism? If you really want that, go play mafia II. It has everything you could need. Traffic laws, lengthy ticket signing animations, and fuel. Why should I give up on a series I've loved since vice city? Why should I make all the compromises? Why can't you just let me enjoy driving a sports car for eternity without going "No, that won't do, he MUST role play or my experience is ruined"? Why in the f*ck should I be forced to respawn my favorite sports car every few miles so you can marvel at the gas station sitting action?
Supercrammer
Gas station idea would be a pain. If this map will be so huge and I want to drive a sports car like a maniac across the state, I dont want my car to run out of gas then carjack some Bobcat in the middle of nowhere. I highly doubt R* will put the time and energy for every car that spawns to have different amount of fuel in their car. Perhaps if the NPC were at the gas station pretending to refuel then leave, that would be cool. IV only did half of that.... there were cars at the gas station but it was just left there abandoned. TheShogunOfHarlem
This thread AGAIN!?! Jesus! If there is a reason I don't bother posting here it because there are too many of these threads. Why can't here be more meaningful discussions about much more practical and more important hypothetical features in GTA 5? Let this stupid topic die... gta5freemode4eva
If this was included in the game, it should be made to be NOT a pain in the ass because it could get tedius. So fuel should last a LONG LONG LONG time so when/if it runs out in the current car your driving, it becomes more of a 'dynamic thing' that happens... It should be an option you can turn off or on. It would keep all people happy then
Revolution-XW
I don't know. What if i'm driving a rare beauty and boom, no gas. This wheee your cell comes in handy. You call a pickup truck and you choose if you want them to fully fix your car by taking it away, Or just bring fuel so you can keep going.

Sorry for the correction on drivel vs. dribble. I did say "I think." 2.) Refuelling is the British spelling. Refueling is the American spelling. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/refuelling 3.) In relation to the "comma" As you can see, there are many reasons for using commas, and we haven't listed them all. Yet the biggest problem that most students have with commas is their overuse. Some essays look as though the student loaded a shotgun with commas and blasted away. Remember, too, that a pause in reading is not always a reliable reason to use a comma. You may have learned that the comma before the "and" is unnecessary, which is fine if you're in control of things. However, there are situations in which, if you don't use this comma (especially when the list is complex or lengthy), these last two items in the list will try to glom together (like macaroni and cheese). You overuse. It was a simple sentence not complex and lengthy. So all we have established is that we are both not perfect. Excelent work. On topic: Vote for gas. heist_blueprint
I would love to see this option only if you can turn it off and on. I would only have it on when I am just trying to have some fun in free-roam. I was going to say the exact same thing literally. Have an option in the menus to turn it off and on. I would only use it when I'm just driving around for fun as well. I don't really use cheats so I'm not really for a "gas cheat". Just have an option to switch it on and off in the menus and it would be GOLD!
MagicMurphy
I think petrol in grand theft auto v will bring a great sense of realism to the game, and will make use of all the petrol stations around the map, and of course, another way to use money, and to keep your favourite car topped up of course tell me what you think? would this be a good idea yes or no? i think it would

Supacoupe
I want it because I believe R* will do it the right way! And also without it, where is the annoying task that we have known to be classic R* ie dates, eating, calls from Roman, phone calls in general, etc.
scarface910
Mafia 2 did it pretty well. Never ran out of gas and it took me a while before i actually had to refill which was not even part of a mission. If they're gonna add gas without fear of running out during a mission, they could alter it so that gas won't be a factor during missions and re-activate it when the missions over. And if people are afraid of jumping into cars with almost no gas in it, they could add it so that cars would spawn with at least half a tank of gas or more. HUNT3R7692
Yeahh i think it would be coool! Get stranded in the desert and rob someone elses car. Or just use a cheat to get another. I think it would add a certain realism and let me get into my own story abit more, n mix it up more. Id av fun with it basically

Racecarlock
Only if I can completely disable it with a menu option and don't lose anything for doing so. See, this is very clearly a niche feature designed to placate role playing fans, and while that's great it screws over everyone who doesn't like real world style role playing. So at the very least I should be able to turn it off completely and not worry about fuel as I'm racing through the desert in my super car.

So at the very least I should be able to turn it off completely and not worry about fuel as I'm racing through the desert in my super car. To be honest, the way these games have been setup, if you don't roleplay, most players won't possess a car long enough for the gas feature to be a factor anyway. So I don't see how that is a problem for non-roleplayers. This being said without figuring how often you would need to refuel and how many opportunities we will have to refuel ie lots of gas stations or mobile gas canisters. I say, trust in Rockstar to make this last game for the current gen, memorable and done right because gas or not, I'm playing and not complaining.
