In Trailer 2, in the shot where Trevor slams that guy's head onto the table, it looks as if he's in a bar.

 

They actually introduced being able to drink and get drunk at your own pace in BOGT, so I have no doubt this will return in V and hopefully in a bigger way.

The GI article confirmed that bowling, comedy clubs, and strip clubs are returning.

 

I would imagine that basketball will be in, at least in the form of 1v1s. and Poker will probably be in too.

 

Of course the stadiums should return and we should be able to do the trial biking and destruction derbies. Underground fighting should come back, although i really hope they have made a new melee fighting system, otherwise it would be boring.

 

I would imagine that all sorts of gambling will return, like roulette and blackjack etc.

That wingsuit looks sick, looks like the guy jumping off the cliff is about to die lol. A COD fps mock up on an arcade machine would be cool. Call of doodie

I personally would love to see the inclusion of a wingsuit for base jumping.

 

I think with Mt Chiliad (and possibly more mountain ranges as speculated by users of this forum) it would be epic to get to the top and jump off in style, you also could try and navigate highrise buildings in the city with it.

 

It could also play a part in MP, with people doing formation jumps or fly-bys

 

This is an absolutely brilliant idea I don't think I'd be able to stop haha. Mount Chiliad would be a different type of beast if there were wingsuits. I'd go crazy on that bad boy .

 

@Sarvesh. Thanks buddy! I just hadn't seen this topic about anywhere and thought it might be cool for everybody to discuss this a bit more. GTA has always had interesting little things to do when we aren't busy killing, and V seems as if it's going to have even more, and hopefully better, activites to do!

Just had a thought. Comedy clubs are definitely making a return, so presumably some real-life comedians will be digitising their performances to appear at them. Now...what if R* also manage to get some real-life bands to digitise some of their songs to play in music venues around Los Santos as a similar kind of date/friend/leisure activity? Now...what if R* also manage to get some real-life bands to digitise some of their songs to play in music venues around Los Santos as a similar kind of date/friend/leisure activity? Aww this is a brilliant idea, if bands exist on the radio they obviously exist in the GTA universe so this wouldn't be a problem in that sense. There could be a few different types of gigs you can go to as well. Little underground bands at grimy little bars or huge bands at a big stadium or something. Obviously it should be different to comedy clubs, where you actually get to walk around. Haha headbanging mini game or something. You could start fights with people in the moshpit and stuff. This could be brilliant!

 

As for the comedy clubs, they were great but I would love to see Rockstar create their own comedians and write material for them. The writing team for GTA has such a great sense of humour I was actually quite disapponted that Ricky Gervais, Katt Williams and Frankie Boyle just used their own material. This is understandable I guess but I want to see Rockstar humour in the comedians! They could even involve one of their fictional comedians in one of our missions, kinda lke the ones with Love Fist in Vice City. This could be awesome!

Actually, just read Dan Houser's interview with IGN they released recently, and he said "Not quite sure if we are going to be doing the comedy stuff or not. We're planning something like that, though, hopefully. We're not quite... Again, with that, we only use celebrities if there's a reason to have those celebrities."

 

Maybe 'something like that' means live music instead of live comedy? Also, just remembered the girl with the love fist t-shirt being arrested. Love Fist comeback gig at the Bowl!! Yes!

Thats right I read that interview as well. That'd be brilliant a Love Fist gig would be really cool. As has been mentioned before Jezz Torrent was on the radio with Lazlo in IV and that means he would be a returning character (which Dan Houser hinted towards) so this actually has a good possibility. Even if there isn't a Love Fist gig I think they could definately be in the game in some form. Even if they just had new music on the radio or something.

Just updated it to include hiking. I don't think it has properly been confirmed as an actual activity in V (what I mean by activity in this thread is the actual things we can do with friends, such as Pool, Darts, Bowling etc in IV.) Would be cool if we could get hiking boots and stuff to make climbing the mountains easier. Would be a bit more realistic as well. Like I said in the update that includes hiking, it would be cool if hiking is an actual activity, to have little objectives/things to do while hiking. Basically I mean having a list of things that we have to find along the way, this could be pretty cool. Similar to the herb collecting in Red Dead.

Windsufing, hanggliding and hunting are all brilliant ideas. I loved the hunting in Red Dead, although if it returns I doubt we'll be able to sell the parts of the animals that we retrieve (i.e. leather from cows, snake skin, meats etc). Would love to see a hunting activity though, would seem like a very Trevor passtime. Just imagine him and his redneck buddies drinkin' beer and shootin' potshots at deer haha. That'd be really good. Probably do a Dick Cheney and shoot one of your friends by mistake though We'd be stuck with a Phil Cassidy situation where we have to drunkenly drive to the hospital!

You never know, the 'hoods are returning, we might be able to tag up south central LS with Franklin. It would be cool if we had to use stealth, put on all black with a black hoodie, and sneak about tagging trains and bridges and whatever else we wanted, avoiding cops and gang members along the way.

Also I hope there will be bars with diffrent activities in each of them judging on where each one is located i.e. if

its a bar on the out skirts or by trevors neck of the woods they should be full of rough mini games like the five finger fillet game from RDR, darts, pool, arm wrestling, bar fights and more.. If its a club that franklin would go to it'd have dancing with chicks like TBOGT, shots, lines of coke (depending on franks view on drugs), if its a bar michael would go to just a quiet up scale place where he can get a class of whiskey on the rocks.

I'd like to see rockstar create their own comedians if they do the comedy clubs again. Don't get me wedding I like Ricky Gervais and Katt Williams is quite funny (he's no Dave Chappelle) but it would be better if the material was written by the GTA team.

 

I hope we get a lot of cool bar activities like you've suggested, and maybe even more!

OT. I wonder what sort of activities there will be at sea besides scuba diving? Fishing sounds possible due to the NPCs fishing in franklins part of the press demo, maybe other stuff like surfing, wakeboarding, parasailing etc. Who knows!

Since we can buy properties maybe we can rangle ourselves some wild horses or something and bring them home to our land lol .. I dunno.. anything that makes the game playable for years after the missions are over is good with me. Comedy clubs, Bars, Sports, Skydiving..

Yea I'm really hoping we can get horses like in red dead, that would be cool. I'd definitely travel one side of the map to the other on horseback. Wonder how long that would take?!
