No, not Zombies. Please. I don't understand the hype of Zombies. They're the most characterless waste of TV, gaming and film history. The offer nothing other than undead cannon fodder. I much rather be shooting at someone with a conscience. Someone with a backstory. Someone who had loved ones. Not an undead zombie that doesn't know what it's doing, doesn't feel guilt, remorse. Zombies are just aggressive matter. They offer no character. They are commercial, overused, overexposed in so much media. Zombie this zombie that. Is there any originality left in the world?

Sir. For film I present the walking dead. Litterly the best integrated literature to a film series. And omg dayz? Dead rising? There are so many good zombie games out there. Because there are so few. Shooters are over rated and over played. Call of duty don't even get me started.

 

You wouldent HAVE to play it. It would be a separate part of the game. I love gta's series story line and writing. It's practically genius. But going out of the norm is what games are all about.

Yeah I watched a couple episodes of that show and enjoyed it. The Zombie theme for me though is too familiar. You know the whole story. If you get attacker by zombies, you got to kill them. That's it. It's like horror films for me. Theres always the enevitabillity that people will be spooked someone dies, blah blah. I find it restrictive. The narrative is controlled by the situation. Ie zombies attacking. It's not like the violence is a knock on effect by some greater and deeper, a crack in society. I'm talking sh*te cause I cant express myself right. I find drama/comedy about inter-personal human relationships fascinating. The human mind. The human condition all these things fascinate me. Now, you can mix those things with Zombies. My friend and writer and director wants to do that, but then I cant fathom why zombies are even interesting in the first place? If I had a chance, I'd Hrather kill one guy, in a game because I'd probably have more emotional attachment or even empathy for him that a 1000 zombies.

 

I don't like CoD either for the same reason. Killing a bunch of guys in camo, that all kind of look the same, that has no personality or character. You are just killing digits and these digits signed up to the army to do that in-game. So I don't care.

 

Now, I won't say that you guys shouldn't have a mode. I personally wouldn't touch off it. The more features and stuff in GTA, the better. Personally I'd rather see the right resources go in to something else. I'm not here to knock your likes. I hope you understand that. I respect them. I just don't understand them or like like them.

As I respect yours. Being a fan of something is a lot different than not being one I suppose. But zombie fans exist. I'm a huge one. I would like most resources to go into the main game to. Just like RDR. They focused on the big stuff first the main game. But they planned on working on the expansion later. They defiantly have a mind set for more of the main features then the other expansions. You can see it in undead nightmare, they diet add a whole heaping lot of stuff Into but they gave the fans the experince. It did pretty darn well too

I can see you are a genuine fan and that's cool. It might be good if a Rockstar did a standalone Zombie game and made it genuinely good an story driven wih lots of action. Not my cup of tea but I'm sure they'd do a great job.

There's infection too, the only difference is that people control the zombie, so they are smarter and they use guns..

Even if only half of people who buy GTA would buy zombies, you're still looking at a huge profit. TLAD wasn't very liked, and it still made a huge profit. It'd be an optional DLC, it'd make a huge proit, why wouldn't they do it? You can't please everyone, but the #1 goal is to make money

Read the OP: Multiplayer mode. It's not taking away any vibe. And it's not useless if people find a use for it, which they did with Undead Nightmare.

I have gotten a good laugh out of this topic topic, but now time to give my opinion:

 

I have never played The RDR zombie mode, but would like to, just cant afford it right now with so much on and the added strain from xmas, but i have played the Zombie mode in COD: World At War, and enjoyed it (best thing to come out of COD, post COD4), and even though i have L4D 1 +2, i've hardly played them, dont really know why tbh lol.

 

But in GTA, if done right could be awesome, i can just imagine walking out of my safehouse (if SP mode) seeing burnt cars, corpses littered around the road, the sound of screams coming from far away, i start walking around trying to find any signs of life only to walk around a corner and get ambushed by a herd of zombies, that all start to (slowly) chase me. You will eventually run out of ammo and places to hide (safe houses could get broken into by zombies eventually), or forced into the country side trying to find somewhere safe. And to make it more challenging you could have to eat/drink to stay alive, forcing you to search in buildings for supplies (maybe even limit fuel, so you have to stop your car eventually to refuel.

 

Now from the sounds of it, it doesn't seem that hard because of the zombies being slow, but just remember how many people have died in zombie films/tv shows when they get cornered by slow moving zombies.

 

Although an even better, yet totally crazy idea is: Dinosaurs! (as Dice have yet to add a game mode with dinosaurs to Battlefield 3 as many people believed them to be doing)

Do I even need to explain why that would be awesome?. A Couple T-Rex's attacking your tank, a flock of pterodactyls swarming your Buzzard heli, being chased by a few Velociraptors through a shopping mall or through a forest, need i go on?

Saying you won an argument just because YOU think you won does not count, (i've had arguments in the past where i've known to be right many times, yet end up finding out i was wrong), but this time for you, you are actually wrong, as its like half the topic against you in this argument. "IN ANY WAY" means just that, in any way, whether its a single character skin that only looks like a zombie or a full blown survival game mode, you did not specify that it could not include the MP skin, you just said "in any way".

 

Just admit you lost, or continue arguing, doesn't bother me, either way i'm laughing at you haha.

 

P.S. i know i'm late in the the argument which to some people has ended, but i thought i'd just give my opinion, plus its kinda fun fueling certain types of trolls.

No it doesn't need to happen. It's a crap effortless un-fun piece of manure of an idea. It would take away so much of Vs atmosphere and vibe. If zombies had been in any past GTA, the memories and nostalgia of GTA wouldn't exist. It's in CoD, big woop, then play CoD. We don't want or need such useless things in the game

Read the OP: Multiplayer mode. It's not taking away any vibe. And it's not useless if people find a use for it, which they did with Undead Nightmare.

I did read the Op. Obviously you didn't read what I wrote. I never anything about single-player or multiplayer. They have no place in the game anywhere.

 

Zombies, aliens, "BIGFOOTS" have no place in GTA and never will. No point even discussing it. When Rockstar include zombies in any way in any GTA ever. Quote me on this and I'll make my avatar Justin Bieber for a year.
