What are you most worried about in GTAV?

Losing the freedom aspect in the game and the 3 protags and how it will work.

I'm not worried about anything else.

Can't say I'm the worrying type, but I'd be unhappy to see:

- Inability to kill domestic animals

- "cleaned up" ghettos without a sense of danger

- The Lost instead of the logical Angels of Death choice

- Need for Speed/Racing style driving physics

- Trees popping up in front of me while I'm flying the jet

- No military (again) for 6 stars

- It ends up being no more than GTAIV on a new map

These are some of the things I fear could NOT be in the game, and that worry me:

- No car customization (c'mon, honestly? They are being so quiet about it which isn't a good sign...)

- Stupid mini games

- Not enough things to do outside of the missions (Yeah they promised that it will change, but they also said there's tons of things to do in GTA4....)

- No things to spend money on

- Cars disappear bug (which has been there since GTA3)

- Poor performance (remember GTA SA? Awesome game, but really, the performance was horrible)

I'm sure there more things, they're all not a deal breaker for me, but things I think R* should seriously put in the game or fix.

Sums it up for me icon14.gif

My worries about GTAV stem mostly from a concern about their rented servers, P2P connections and inability to regulate turbo/modded controllers. I play PS3 so there's less to worry about with modded discs and consoles. These are the issues I have with all online gaming though... suicidal.gif

I'm also worried about auto-aim. It should not be default. We are too developed as a gaming society to have assisted aim be the norm. That's just me though - I like to aim for myself. sigh.gif

This, and GTA turning in COD and being a cash cow with too much DLC attached.

Right now it's:

*What if there is not enough interiors (I want a lot of interiors, even if some are recycled. I miss SA and it's random interiors. I'd love to go to a diner in the middle of nowhere, but I'm afraid that won't happen).

*Car customization; though I wouldn't rage if it weren't in, I'd be annoyed.

*Boring map or one that you can explore easily; elaboration: With me, I have a problem with some of the open world games coming out today, not really IV, but some newer ones. Some open worlds aren't really that exciting, get old fast, and/or can be explored very easily.

We already know V will be detailed and nice, but that doesn't promise some surprises out there. I want to be wowed by the countryside, wowed by the city, always things to explore, learn something about the game's world everyday like in SA and even with IV.

I hope to god this new world isn't boring. I want random tucked away ghost towns and or ruins, lots of small towns, things in the woods, easter eggs. Lots of things to explore, not just some map that's huge and graphically looking good, that get's boring, believe me. The map NEEDS to have lots, LOTS of stuff.

"I don't think we were necessarily addressing any criticisms from IV" - Dan Houser

Proof Rockstar dont listen to fans and cant take CRITICISM!

Mainly being pulled into side missions without meaning to start them especially when you're just free roaming the map.

Im afraid the map might be small........

Where getting a map the size of RDR, SA, and IV combined with room to spare, that doesn't sound small at all. monocle.gif

I'm most worried about the potential lack of a PC release.

All of the major GTAs since III have had a PC release that comes after the console release. The PC versions have announced after the console versions are released. It's almost certainly going to be the same in this case. You have nothing to worry about.

On-topic: I'm worried about pop-in and frame rate. It's amazing what they did with LAN on the 360, with a large and detailed city, but the frame rate dips a lot. Then again, the LAN engine was based on Havok, as far as I know. Maybe RAGE is even better than it was in RDR?

I'm hoping they didn't make Los Santos fairly small in relation to the rest of the map. I definitely want the huge open areas to explore, but still desire a sprawling city.

- Lack of an interesting economy (both legal and illegal)

- Not being able to feel part of an alive underworld by doing tons of crime-releted side activities

- OC groups and gangs only in Metro Los Santos

Intstringeger

  • Car handling. I hope they make it as enjoyable as it was in IV, if not this could potentially ruin the whole experience.
  • The story been too short. That thing about people not finishing IV because it was too long seemed to me as a lame excuse. (Excusatio non petita, accusatio manifesta)
  • Not much to do outside the main story.
  • 2D textures as shop windows. I loved how much detail there was in LA Noire that all the shops had 3d models of the things they were selling, even if the same windows were cloned many times across the city. Now, in the 2nd trailer there is what looks like a restaurant in the background in the "bounce" scene which has 2D textures for windows, they can be a placeholder while they're working on it or part of the price to pay for having a massive map.

Not that much worried about this last, though, just a minor detail that adds some depth to the game (pun intended). That goes to prove how much I trust Rockstar that I take for granted that they are going to nail the most important things.

Something that truly frightens me with Grand Theft Auto V is its future after this trailer. I haven't heard one word on the Newswire since the second trailer.

The authenticity of the ghetto areas and I want a HUGE city. With better AI but so far nothing on these topics from rockstar so I'm throwing in the towel

The vehicle handling, like most others have said.

It's a massive chunk of the game element and all this "Racing" wording scares the hell out of me.

Priority is as follows:

1. PC Coming months after Consoles

2. Driving Phyics

3. OpenIV Compatibility

4. Less players on Multiplayer

5. Peds being reduced.
