CheatingSoi Posted November 20, 2012 Share Posted November 20, 2012 I was thinking about how this is a separate era or universe from GTA III; which includes III, Vice City and San Andreas. So it's a sad experience to learn we won't be seeing CJ or any of the classic landmarks like Grove Street. At least I don't think so. However, these things seem to be preserved through easter eggs. Like in trailer 2, we saw "Ballas" written on a bench. Now, perhaps the ballas will make some sort of appearance in the game. Or maybe their past really does exist in this universe. Anyways, a little off-topic but I was thinking of Claude Speed's clothing in GTA IV. I wonder if you'll be able to obtain CJ's classic wife beater and jeans for Franklin. Or if not his clothing, some sort of other reference to CJ or the past Era of San Andreas. I don't know what it might be but I hope it's something. But remembering the physical clothing of Claude Speed you can wear in GTA IV. A direct connection to the player of the same city in the previous era. We already had easter eggs to that III-Era in GTA IV, with GTA IV being the first HD title. GTA V will have easter eggs to that (IV) era, though. Official Statement. Maybe there would be ruins of Big Smoke's drug palace,cemetery with Johnson's family cript and devastated Mad Dog's mansion. There could be used car dealership with cars from GTA SA and MCLA,and car museum with cars from LA Noire and RDR(Model T). ALso some souvenir shop with clothes from SA,RDR and LA Noire. And on GTA V TV shows there could be parodies of Hood movies,Noire and Western with scenes from SA,RDR and LA Noire,and in Vinewood studios there could be movie sets that reminds on the old games. No returning character or thing from III era can exist in V. But things can exist in V that pay homage to the III era. Example, Tommy will NOT return in gta V, but his shirt may be purchasable. The triads were in III, yes, but the triads are also a real gang, so their appearance in both games has nothing to do with the other. That's like saying "There's a black ped in V, and III has black peds, so V must be in the same universe as III" Not related at all. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Check out the bench Michael is sitting on when he first meets Frankling in the 2nd trailer. The company has been abandoned and someone has painted dark glasses and a white cane on the dragon -A shirt in a thrift store that looks like Tommy's Hawaian shirt. -A billboard for a train that shows a massive traffic jam and below says "All you had to do was take the damn train" -Hardware store called J.D.O.
