Who actually thought this could run on current consoles?

No one.The OP is a 14 year old PC elitist that just wanted to masturbate at that pic. It's probably the only thing letting him sleep at night because if he didn't have that he'd have to sleep just with idea that GTA V might not come to his beloved platform.

This is basically just a gloating thread.

I sent your mom a bottle of cum and a X360 Stick to put it in her ass cool.gif

And since R* DGAF about PC BeamNG is impossible right now, NG = Next Generation.

For even considering it a possibility that it goes into V, you are an idiot. Congratulations.

Jesus guys, relax. He just wanted to show something that could very well fit in GTA. It's not going to be in the PC version of GTA V, because the change would be too drastic. They don't even have time for that. However, we might see something like this in the future, in other GTA games. I think it looks really cool. The cars are a little too "soft" for my taste. I would like them a little sturdier. But with this + euphoria physics, I am going to have a lot of fun driving over the sidewalk. I already did that a lot in GTA IV.

Leave your dumbass fanboy opinions to yourselves, please. You're impressing no-one with your allegiances to your favourite brand of gaming hardware, or your cringeworthy, idiotic insults towards each other.

I don't know but, are cars supposed to be that soft? RAGE can do it right, for a GTA game. I mean, we don't just want to die immediately after a messy car crash right? This is GTA folks! No need for fancy physics now. Maybe in later installments but not now.

RAGE.

/THREAD.

Indeed.

@OP: I don't think that's possible on curren gen consoles, i'm a console player btw.

"To all those still wanting BeamNG!"

This was the topic title, I wanted everyone to understand that R* isnt going to adapt it colgate.gif

But stupid people don't seem to understand what i typed, And took the PC wordings, And then bargaust warned me why? sad.gif

- LOL OP is a PC elitist, he just wanted to show off how old consoles are

- GTA does not need physics like that. One crash would ruin the car

F*cking useless thread

You're an absolute moron. Nobody was thinking about this, speculating or hoping this will be in. That pic you posted just says it all. Now gtfo.

How does that make him a moron? Please, just relax.

IF it's really true that no one talked about BeamNG + GTA V, not a single person, then still I am glad that he made this thread. I think cars should be a little sturdier than that in games, but it looks fun anyway.

Why do people get so agitated so quickly? I don't care if you call me moron, or wish that I will die. It's the internet after all. You shouldn't feel offended by every insult. But I think some here are frustrated in real life, and now abreact this this frustration on the internet while being anonymous.

1. You already imply that you know this is only possible on PC and not consoles, and considering V is multiplat, you think they'd make soft body physics for a PC version and give consoles an inferior feature.

2. You have to ask for proof that you're an idiot when it's apparent enough for a borderline idiot to see.

Good day.

It's funny to see how many aggresive people here that flame the OP. Why is he a morron for this? He only said that this generation will not be able to use BeamNG, and that is obvious.

Hahah Androyed + japse123 you guys don't have a clue what you're talking about. He's a PC fanboy and hates on consoles all the time. He clearly posted this only to mock consoles again, just look at the wording in the pic, i bet he couldn't wait to post this here

The original post didn't seem particularly inflammatory.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 are both getting a bit long in the tooth (read: OLD), so I'm not at all surprised that we aren't going to see this type of soft body physics in a sandbox environment such as GTA. Modern PCs would probably have a much easier time of making this work, but guess what - there is no PC version, at least not yet.

This is factual information. You can yell and insult and jab at your CAPS LOCK all you want, but it ain't going to change a damned thing, you're just going to make yourself look a foul-mouthed, raving moron trying to defend their favourite box of circuitry. Please consider this before participating in other fanboy rants in future. As for this thread, let's see if we can just discuss the actual topic... and if you haven't got anything to say on the topic, how about not posting?

This forum. Seriously. suicidal.gif

GTAV has some pretty good deformable mesh scripts in it and other methods as seen in Trailer #2. It's pretty decent for this generation.

Yes but just like IV they are not randomly generated, please watch the video on Page 1 smile.gif

OFC it is best for this Generation.

Not sure what you mean with "randomly generated". It's not static damage like GTA3-era games. The deformation is calculated based on the colliding mesh (be it a vehicle, building corner etc.). It's dynamic deformation.

Yes this happens in BeamNG (CryEngine3)

Please take note that at this time RAGE isn't capable of rendering Dynamic Deformations.

Instead of using readily modeled parts, GTA IV uses a more flexible (but not necessarily realistic) damage engine that allows any part of a vehicle's body to flex and distort based on the force and direction of an impact; the body of boats and helicopters may now be damaged in this manner, while motorcycles still do not. Essentially limitless on the extent on damage that can be done, players can literally flatten or crush any vehicle using extreme force; explosions are also known to damage a vehicle's bodywork severely. In addition, should a road vehicle sustain severe frontal or rear damage, its axle may also bend to a point when it can no longer function, locking and dragging its wheel along the ground as the vehicle moves, greatly affecting performance.

Ehm... yes, yes it is. GTAIV has it. icon14.gif

Certainly it isn't as advanced as the tech you are linking, but it certainly is dynamic deformation icon14.gif . The deformation is calculated based on the damage mesh of the colliding 3d object - be it another vehicle, building etc.

I was wrong you are right, But it is just not as smooth as BeamNG
