If the petition keeps getting signatures at a decent pace, I hope it can reach that number. 1 mil+ will get Rockstar's attention big time.

There isn't going to be an announcement. Or at least, it's so unlikely it's not worth mentioning. The PC version is already a given. BUT, with Houser publicly stating that the PC platform isn't viable, I think everyone signing the petition just want to give the news and Rockstar a bit of feedback that there are a lot of people who actually care about Houser practically accusing everyone on the PC Platform of being pirates.

Max Payne 3 wasn't a port, so I don't see why GTA V would be if it came out for PC.

 

And when did Houser state that the PC version is not viable? Seriously people just keep making up these things. He never said a PC version is not viable.

Now Kockstar will pay the gaming sites like ign to not cover about the petition reaching its goal.so many people cannot know about the petition.if this come in news in ign,gamespot then we will easily reach another 100,000 signs in a week and for the next week another hundred thousand and so on.at release date of gta v consoles we may have about 25 million signatures.but that will not happen because of filthy rich at kockstar.

So let me get this straight, you can't understand why pc users are frustrated at the possibility there will be no pc version yet if it was either console you would ? What makes it okay for console users to get frustrated and not pc users ?

 

Both consoles will always have a larger fan base with its simplicity and affordability. But don't let this fool you, the pc still has a large user base. Just look at the 10 million active wow accounts (i know terrible game) over 30 million registered steam accounts plenty of pc exclusives coming out each year.

 

Personally I don't think a petition will make any difference, I'm confident there will be a PC version a few months to a year after console, I just think pc users are frustrated with the choice of words used by Rockstar, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first time they have actually said that a PC version is only up for consideration ?

Rather than call people morons why don't you just ignore the thread if it really annoys you that much that some pc users are a tad worried.

It'll just change the course of R*. They'll keep talking about PS3/Xbox only until its release, and then they'll eventually mention a PC Version.

 

It's just how things goes. The sad thing in this actually is, that if the game wasn't developed for PC as well from the ground, I can see it ending up like the GTA 4 PC Version, a complete mess.

 

But no one knows what R* is doing. Unlike with GTA 4, the PS3 now seems to be the lead platform for the game (it was mentioned that the demo etc. ran on the PS3), and since the PC Version usually is based on the Xbox one, it could be that they MIGHT be a little further behind in development, and thus just have no time to port it properly to the PC in time.

 

I would also prefer a PC Version over the PS3 one, even though I'm not sure if I would accept a horrible port again.

 

ALSO, to everyone thinking that R* doesn't care, I think they do. But I also think that they were considering a PC Version all along anyways, but they have their reasons for not publishing it on the same time.

This petition won't change a thing. They will release it on console first, and 6 months later when everybody finishes the game they will release it on PC with some features in addition, so console gamers who also own a good pc will buy the game again. All they care about is maximizing profit.

That's just it, We don't know, none of us. Publishers pay for the development of games, RDR never got it's PC port due to high development costs, guess who publishes both GTA and RDR?

 

Rockstar.

 

So it is VERY likely we won't get a PC version, oh and just because they have always done it in the past, doesn't mean it's guarenteed to happen in the future. (Kinda like my local diner,Served this awesome chicken dinner for the past like 12 years and stopped for some reason, ver popular dish)
