rawfan1989
As of late, I have been wandering about the map size of GTA V. According to my research on the matter, the map will be bigger than any map that Rockstar has ever produced. On this particular website's (www.igtav.com) homepage stated two things. One, in an IGN interview, it has reported that, "This world -- the range of height and between north and south and east and west -- is huge, and it's a real strength." I wander what is meant by "huge"? Another thing mentioned, is that, "GTA V is 5 times larger than Red Dead Redemption." Does this mean that, since Red Dead Redemption is 27.8 square miles, does that mean that the size of GTA 5 will be 139 square miles? I hope it would be as big or bigger. LOL What are your thoughts? How credible is the claim? Here is just a thought, though off subject sortive, for future maybe when a new GTA is made may it can add to the map. Possibly future return of San Fierro and Las Venturas. Maybe include a remake of Vice City and a revamped and bigger version of GTA IV and connect them together. It could be like 1000 square miles. Kifflom112
Red Dead Redemption is not 26 square miles. LOL So no, I doubt it's 100 square miles. LOL You know what I mean. LOL Edited November 20, 2012 by Kifflom112

Racecarlock
I think what really matters is what you'll be able to do in the map. Think about it, what if IV era liberty city actually had every single activity the real new york did? If all buildings were accessible, if all theaters had shows, if all the clubs were open and operating instead of just 5 (comedy, cabaret, strip, maisonette, hercules), if the internet actually had all the videos on it that it said it did, if every single inch of every single building was explorable? Would you not spend twice as much time there as you already do?
