Being able to temporarily beat the police?

With all due respect, the "cop" did ask to take it to PM's on the previous page, but everyone just kept going on about him and offering an opinion, which only extended the replies/discussion even further. I don't condone his views, but yeah.

Anyway, back to the thread.

Re read the topic.

It was nothing about taking it to PM or not.... what he said was completely out of context to start off with. Then chucked in racist remarks and also thought he was above the 'law' with his massive power surge.

Yeah, you're right.

I clicked on this thread because I expected to read about people's opinions on the idea of beating police (which I also approve). What I wasn't expecting to see was an actual cop arguing with people and subsequently getting banned. I only skim-read the posts so I'm taking a neutral perspective, but I just want to say how ironic it is that an officer is

a) Playing GTA

b) A member of a generally anti-police-franchise forum

c) Making racist claims

d) Punished by moderators when in the real world the police have the power to arrest citizens

That being said, I hope he can't trace my IP and find my real address and lock me up in a cell... moto_whistle.gif

I come to discuss a feature and find a racist officer of the law arguing with people on a bloody GTA forum.

Why am I a racist? Because my views are different than yours? I apologize, I didnt realize this was the last forum of the third reich.

A police officer getting busted? Lol at the irony. I don't think it was necessary to ban him though.

Yes it indeed was and I applaud the mods for banning that asshole.

You're right actually. Maybe it was.

That guy wasn't even a cop, they have better stuff to do than go on a thread and say stuff like "gaylo 4" and "crapping bad" yea i cant see feds saying sh*t like that.

MGS2 had a nifty feature where if you faced a group of guards, killing/silencing the guard with the radio means they could not call for backup, it added to the tactic of taking out the radio bearer first. I'm in two minds about how it would fit in a GTA game but a hybrid of that feature could possibly work.

With regards to constant spawning of police, RDR had a good setup.

I feel like this idea is big enough for it's own topic and it got lost in the wishlist thread. Does anyone think you should be able to temporarily beat the police in GTA 5?

When you decide to go on a killing rampage and see how many stars you can get, the police shouldn't be just unlimited and come at you non stop. If you are bunkered down and armed well enough, you should be able to kill enough to where you basically killed all the areas cops and you get a few minute before out of town backup arrives or military ect.

Make it hard to do but if you do it right it actually feels like you killed off all local enforcement and have a decent chance of escaping at that point. Of course you'd have to be armed to the teeth with body armor and rocket launchers ect and have a strategic plan but if you could...

icon14.gificon14.gif I remember in GTA SA at the police station I went on a cop killing rampage

and there was unlimited cops!

Well, in the context of IV, having a constant flow of cops kind of makes sense - here in NYC cops are everywhere and they would be all over someone like Niko rampaging on the streets until he's dead. It was annoying, yes, but it is believable. In the context of V, having cops arrive with different intervals would make sense beyond the city of LS itself.

BTW, if the racist pig really was a cop, he should be reported. It's f*cking despicable that such a blatant racist would be given a badge and a gun.

It would be cool if you don't immediately get a wanted level. It would be interesting if say, cops had to call on their radio for backup- the same way the witness thing worked in RDR. That way, you could basically beat up a police officer in the middle of a park at night. If he's alone, you could get away with it.

Then, when another person sees the body, a wanted level radar around the body will come up (and not around you). If you're seen by the police in that radar, an official wanted level will begin.

I really hope the wanted level system works like this. It would be pretty silly if you somehow get a cop in the middle of the desert with nobody around, and when you kill him, all of a sudden the whole state and county is after you! That'd be weird and too unrealistic anymore.

This.

Rockstar could perhaps take a constructive leaf out of the books of RDR, The Warriors and Assassin's Creed, all of which utilised some form of a 'witness and report' system (AC less so, but the dynamic was very similar, if you committed a crime you weren't necessarily wanted right away).

I think this would be unrealistic. In real life you would never be able to kill all the cops in an area. Between the local, county and state units you would eventually buy the farm. It would be better if R* increased the response time of backup units then if you kill all officers on the scene you would have a few minutes to get away.

Now, about the guy who got banned. Yes he said some racist and ignorant things and yes he deserved to be banned, but have you guys read all the vile and hateful things your wrote about him in here? If you guys are talking about being respectful and mature then maybe you should re-read your post before you start throwing stones.

I fail to see anything hateful or vile things I said back to him. at all really.... infact no one said anything.

Also I find it ironic that you joined on the 20th November which was yesterday, have a sheriff in your name, almost the same avatar as the other guy and almost the same sig.

What I said was a simple truth that was concieved from his vile amd racist remarks.

Look at it through my eyes.

I live in New York City, Flushing Queens to be exact.

The NYPD is the largest most influential and corrupt police force in the US second would be the LAPD.

I have been a victim of racist officers of all colors not just white.

I have been a victim of stop and frisks on my way to college and my place of employment.

I have witnessed these atrocities as well.

I have clapped and cheered at every breaking news of a NYPD officer being slain in my city

simply because of all the innocent blood that has flowed from the boroughs to the East and Hudson rivers.

How would you like it if you were approached by two plain clothed cops amd handcuffed to a your Lobby door in the middle of February in NYC on suspicion of a weapon for 2 hours making you late to school only to be told to f*ck off when found innocent.....with no respect for him or his family phuck him on a silver platter.....

RIP - Sean Bell, Amadu Diallo, Treyvon Martin, The Young man Killed on the Grand Central parkway, and many more

All of those names had lives behind them, and all of them died living....not doing a job

We need this forum....we need this game.

It keeps us at bay, entertains us, and has theraputic qualities.

I love GTAforums, im gonna love V, and I love that sweet officer who validated my sentiment.

Hopefully some of you share it in some way....

Definately not. The cops should be able to reign unlimited pain upon your butt until you die...just like real life.

And for a real challenge you will face a super cop who is physically tougher than a normal cop and armed to the teeth, just to get the job done.

yeah like bruce willis from die hard movies cool.gif now that'd be awesome (imagine a cruiser full of them devil.gifdevil.gif )
