I like the RDR system, but really the current GTA wanted system would work fine if they just lowered the respawn rate and made it so you could actually hide. Hated the psychic cops tracking you down like Saddam in his hole. Which reminds me, whatever happened to the stealth/shadow system from San Andreas? Something as simple as that would really change the cop chase dynamic...

It would be cool if you don't immediately get a wanted level. It would be interesting if say, cops had to call on their radio for backup- the same way the witness thing worked in RDR. That way, you could basically beat up a police officer in the middle of a park at night. If he's alone, you could get away with it.

 

Then, when another person sees the body, a wanted level radar around the body will come up (and not around you). If you're seen by the police in that radar, an official wanted level will begin.

I don't know why but I feel like if it was like that it would take so long getting 5/6 stars lol. It was quite a challenge in itself on GTA4 because no heavy vehiclel/tanks.

 

I feel if they make it so you can just get away with stuff by killing then it would be even harder to achieve it lol

I believe they did add that even if you get away with a five or a 4 star wanted level that the cops will be looking for someone in your description. So it's best to change to a drifferent character and lay low for 24 hours or 42

Wouldn't this also take some of the the pressure off from constantly spawning NPCs close to the Player wherever he goes?

 

Kind of like splitting lands, 1 area splitted into a b and c, and then have a certain amount of cops in every each of these areas, some less, some more, for example, lesser amount of cops in the hills, but in south central there are more, and where trevor lives there aren't very much at all.

Anyway back on planet earth, I think the OPs idea is great. It was kind of like that in the countryside in SA. Or at least I thought I was. I really hope you can wipe out groups of them. You'd still get stars but you could f*ck around for 4-5mins before more back up came. Hope they thought about that. Cops in IV were annoying. Just endless amounts. The whole thing got repetitious.

 

That's why I'm glad for countryside. I love blasting on fools at sunset and taking the cops on a wild chase in to night in the countryside, escaping the city in to the night!
