Uncontrolled protags

When you aren't in charge of characters they will go about their business and do things without you.

 

-Does this mean you could switch back to one in the middle of a crime with a wanted level? I like the idea of that.

 

But

 

-Do they spend money/lose weapons whist you're away? fe: Can you return to your well-provisioned Trevor to find him fighting cops with 4 stars. wounded and broke after a meth binge? That might be a pain and foce you to 'babysit' an unruly protag.

I don't think they'll be able to spend money or die, it wouldn't be a major issue if they did, they just spawn at hospital if they die.

 

 

What i'm more curious about is if we can find the non controlled protags in the city somewhere. Then be able to recruit them to follow you.

lol that would be cool, or later in the story he may divorce and must pay 10k each 20 days

When you're not controlling Michael you can find him making love to his wife in his mansion.

And then I will play as Trevor and look through the window and watch secretly. But then I will switch to Michael and act like I heard a noise, and then look at the window and see Trevor- shocked. i will sprint towards him, grab him and ask him if he wants to join. Hopefully R* allows for these types of interactions.

Guys, I seriously doubt we'll find any of our characters in any real trouble when we switch to them. They'll probably be near their houses somewhere just hanging out.

 

I also don't think well be able to switch protags while we have a star and I don't think they'll ick up a star while we're not controlling them. I think the uncontrolled protags will lead a boring life.

In free roam, if I select Trevor and go to point X, the I switch to Michael and bring him to point X...presumably Trevor will have buggered off somewhere else on his own accord once I switched to Michael?

 

Can't imagine how we will be able to use the multiple protagonists together outside of missions. Can't see how that will be possible to be honest.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking lol. Although I do agree, I don't think we'll switch over to one of them leading the 5-0 on a 45-minute chase around southern Cali. I am, however, hoping we find them more than just bustling about the front yard, kicking rocks.

 

What I wanna know is, can we come across the other two protags while in free-roam? I think it'd be cool to get into a nasty wreck on the highway, with one of the other cars being driven by one of the other guys. That also begs the question; Can you come across them and accidentally kill them?

Re: Can/will protags have issues on or off missions where one or the othe gets killed?

 

These could be the 'multiple endings':

 

1) All 3 protags live.

2) Trevor dies. Michael and Frankin live.

3) Michael dies. Franklin and Trevor live.

4) Franklin dies. Michael and Trevor live.

5) Trevor and Frankin die. Michael lives.

6) Trevor and Michael die. Franklin lives.

7) Michael and Franklin die. Trevor lives.

Just can probably call them on your phone and they'll come rushing out like other GTA games

Your thoughts.

I can't say I'm thrilled about this idea. You offer a good reason against it: you'd feel pressured to babysit the protags. This would be especially annoying to me as I'm OCD and like to earn and evade all my wanted stars. I know it's not completely in your control (you often gets stars during missions and activities), but I'd like to think that I determine when I get a wanted level during free roam.

I don't think so. In GTA IV, Roman took Niko's Money to gamble and buy an apartment, yet Niko's money never dropped.

I think even if you do go to see what another character is doing early on in the game, the other character will probably ignore you and be invincible to gun shots. They will most likely interact through hobbies like golf.
