Billybritain
I wonder if Rockstar have placed some old places from SA into the new Los santos map? For instance, it Would be pretty cool to try and find grove street. Does anyone remember that from SA? Under the express way!

How could anyone remember Grove Street?I mean,it wasn't part of the main plot in any way,it's just an obscure street in the middle of nowhere.Heck,I think most people saw it a couple of times at the max

Liberty2k7
Obviously we will see a return of Downtown (duh!). We know Mount Chiliad will return. Maybe one of the small towns we've heard about will have a SA name (Blueberry, Dillimore, Whetstone etc). Would love to see a Grove Street, and to be honest if Grove Street Families are in the game it wouldn't really make any sense not to have a Grove Street so this is a possibility. If the Ballas do return (which is looking pretty likely now) then GSF could return as well. Maybe a return of Rodeo, although this seems kind of lazy because the same area in LA is called Rodeo. Still, this could happen. Ganton might return as well, based on Compton, the area will definately be in the game, just is yet to be seen if it will be called Ganton Vinewood is obviously the same as San An Idlewood, Jefferson, Glen Park etc were all based on real locations in LA (Inglewood, Watts and MacArthur Park/Echo Park respectively) and one or several of these could possibly return. In IV we didn't really see the return of many area names from the III era but I feel we could see a few more pop up in V. We've already seen that Mount Chiliad and Vinewood return (although Vinewood is a bit of a no-brainer) so I'm pretty optimistic we could see a few more old San Andreas names return. Only time will tell really. There are tonnes more possibilities but the ones I've named are mainly the first ones that come to mind when I think of Los Santos really. What is this Grove Street you are talking about? Did it have an orange grove near by? Chances are, they may add a few easter eggs here and there, just don't expect anything major. BullworthAcademy.
I think it would be nice to come across Grove street, seeing Carl Johnson's Mother's home still standing in the dead in street with newer modern homes surrounding it but considering GTA4's map not having any references to GTA3's map it seems unlikely. Rockstar seems committed to not bringing back any reference to GTA3's era. Edited November 20, 2012 by BullworthAcademy.
Magic_Al
GTA V will repeat more buildings from GTA SA than GTA IV repeated from GTA III. Both versions of Los Santos are based on Los Angeles, but the GTA III version of Liberty City didn't base its identity on New York as specifically as GTA IV did.
