You bought SRTT before RDR? If you haven't already played it, then boy are you in for a treat. Don't forget to buy the GOTY edition. lol yeah i know... but i'm saving RDR for xmas break... yup... goty is what im getting. 2 for 1. The only problem with RDR, is that it makes the horses in every other game that features them, seem like sh*t in comparison. If you've already played Assassin's Creed 3, you'll be amazed at how much better they are in RDR. I'm really quite envious of you for being able to experience it for the first time. I think only GTA V will surpass it as my game of this generation. Oh & I had no interest in Cowboys or the Western genre before playing the game. AtomicPunk Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 I say FarCry 3. It's a huge, open-world, GTA-style game. Other than that, maybe go retro and play Shenmue. Very brilliant game. If that doesn't get it, then play Metroid on N.E.S.. Maybe even some Catlevania. The new racing games would bhelp scratch that itch as well. Metal Gear Solid series - there's this MGS: HD Collection that came out a year ago; consists of three MGS games. Very highly recommended if you're looking forward for an ambitious, exceedingly great storyline, breathtaking soundtracks, fantastic overall design, etc. BUT - you can't mind the graphics. The games are converted from PS2/PSP. Skyrim - many people have already told great words about this game, and there's not much too add from me either - it's a really amazing game and it's highly recommended if you like RPG-s. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I and II - one of the greatest RPG-s I have ever had a chance to play. Why do say BO2 is crap? Because you cant afford it and are stuck with MW3 so you just say BO2 is crap as a rational to yourself so you dont have to buy it cause you can't? I thought so.... They honestly don't know what their missing. Yes it's linear, yes it's very scripted but the gunplay & physics are what you can expect on a larger scale next gen. The every bullet modelled is taken to extremes. I've even seen bullets ricochet off each other in slow motion. The 360 degree animation of Max is going to make every other third person shooter seem clunky. The detail in the levels is astonishing, I ended up playing through it just to shoot up the scenery, with almost every object either destructible and/or physics based. I hope some of the elements & assets from this game make it into GTA V. So it's not just a long interactive movie IMO. I will never sell it, along with every other R* game I own. New Vegas was pretty good too, but not as great as Fallout 3. OP if you havn't played Fallout 3 and like RPG games, that's the game to get! Same goes for Skyrim, a master piece of a game.
