So by announcing that they are focusing their work on console + console footages trailer , it is really the right way to punish those PC GAMER. Will this hurt PC sales(if it available later )? PC sale never been gooooooood to any R* product ... nevur. so they dont expect something from it AT ALL (like we-suddenly- are being alienated). is R* really dont care about PC version . YES it is , see RDR - the demand was there , but... NOPE - CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE. So now , we - no need to worry about PC version . There will(obviously) be available , if they not serious about pc version this time , they will just give us the crappy port(which i believe , R* will not do - their latest game ;MP3 is really good!). Never be in their history(unless they want to made one) , their big GTA tittle unavailable for PC . For the damn idiots that still cry about PC piracy and saying how low their sales are: 1 - If games were released on PC and consoles by the same time and it was optimized for PC's and not a crap and lame port the console sales would be a lot less, and perhaps less by comparison, take Skyrim as an example. 2 - Everytime they give the sales number they NEVER count with steam sales or any other digital sales, they only count the physical sales that nowadays are less, I'm still one of those that like to go to a store and bring a DVD home, but many PC players buy them digitally. 3 - By releasing the game later for PC, most of the console players that have PC's actually pirate the game, and use the excuse that they already bought it once and only want it for the mods, and those are the ones that increase the numbers of illegal downloads. 4 - Consoles ruined the development and technology evolution for the gaming community, every time a new toy comes out the technology freezes in time because they reach a limit and they ruin it for everyone else and we the PC gamers are the ones getting screwed. 5 - Wii U was released 2 days ago in USA and just few hours after it was cracked and it's already running pirated games. I could also mention what I've said so many times here that the PC industry is growing since 2008, that consoles are losing more then ever and also mention interviews of important people that say consoles won't last long with the upcoming generations, but there is no need for that, all I want is that the people happy with consoles that keep enjoying them and STOP TALKING ABOUT THINGS THEY HAVE NO CLUE and always haunting PC's with the piracy ghost, when your consoles are screwed as much and most of you are the ones to blame for pirating the games under the excuse of "I have it on console, my PC suck so I'm only testing it". Sometimes it's because the game company doesn't release a demo and we never know if the game will even run on our PC. But there are some game companies I will always buy from regardless of any demos and one of them is R*. They have always delivered and I've felt I've always got my money's worth. That's the key for me. Did the money I spend equal or exceed the fun I had playing the game. Even through GTA IV was a poorly optimized port, the multiplayer always had me coming back. R* will always get my money. people saying the only pirate certain games or don't pirate out of "respect" is like a thief saying they don't steal $100 bills because they respect ben franklin. Pirating is not stealing, it is copying something with copy rights. Ugh. Why do you have "Sign the GTA V PC petition!" as your sig if you just want to pirate the game? You aren't helping anyone's cause and you're actually a really terrible person in general. Right, but that has absolutely no effect on sales whatsoever. I respect how they currently do things i think we all should, to me they are the number 1 innovaters in the world and have been since they move gta 2 to III. Not good enough. Obviously everything nowadays get pirated to a certain level but companies still manage to make a decent profit. But with consoles it is much harder to pirate due to the strong multilayer ties xbox live.You cant just download a copy of halo 4 and put it into any old xbox and hey it works.It is much more frustrating to pirate a game on a consoles and the majority of people who do it live outside the states/Europe and a lot of countries where games arrive late or are just too expansive. Besides, from what you've told me it seems that the only information you've gathered from these sites is that in some cases, console games sections outnumber PC games sections. That says absolutely nothing about how many people are downloading these games, not to mention that you've failed to take into account that there are a lot more console games in general nowadays than PC games. If the consoles have - according to you - way more piracy that PCs, yet consoles dwarf the PC in terms of game sales, then that's the logical conclusion. Do you think the Devs care with which was the platform that sold the most? They made tons of money thats all they care about, and even with the same formula, same graphics, same engine and a twist in the story they do it every year and they aren't selling themselves to the highest bidder crying for a Hit to sell more of their hardware. PS3 = Bad Port PC = Hackers Wii = Hackers/Bad Graphics/ ( what I've heard a bad port ) So really the best console to buy Call of Duty is Xbox 360. Call of Duty sticks to their engine because they want to maintain a 60FPS ratio, even if it means sacrificing some visuals. I'm sure they'll be updating their engine next-gen. Microsoft 'Halo 4' sales hit $220 million on launch day and is on its way to reaching $300m in global sales in its first week Cod has a very successful multilayer formula and thus will keep generating sales and interest its like people complain but still play it regardless and as long as the same multiplayer element is still present, people will still flock out.
